Examples:
“Do you want kids? How many? When? If so, what if we are/become infertile? Is adoption on the table?”
“What are the plans for when/if your parents become ill and need help? Here are my plans, do you accept them?”
“If your/my niece/nephew/younger sibling/cousin/godchild/etc needs a foster home or adoptive home, will we be open to taking them in? For how long? Under what circumstances?”
“What are your end of life/burial plans? Here are mine, will you respect them?”
“What are your medical advanced directives? Here are mine, will you respect them?”
“How will we handle existing property/bank accounts? How will we handle new property/bank accounts after we’re married?”
Of course, there are always going to be situations that no one can predict to discuss beforehand. That’s why being on the same page about morals and priorities is important. But, discussing these heavy topics can give you better insight into these things and can prepare you for what may come.
What situations, other than the ones I’ve listed, can you think of to discuss with potential LTRs?
ETA: Here’s something my boyfriend and I had a long, difficult conversation about tonight: “What do we plan to do with our current & future pets when they pass? Are you okay with tasteful mourning jewelry?”
