I'm weary when people seem to know what's best for such a large group of people, that is about half of humanity, doesn't make it any different from the improvers of mankind. A large portion of European history placed sexual restrictions on both genders to degrees, and the majority of that period was far off from being called golden times. Not to mention I can't think of a single case where going back to the "good old days" has ever wroked as intended, but correct me if I'm wrong.

Because bodily autonomy is a human right.

And when you give that and bodily responsibility away, then other things began to happen, control and lack of ownership is not an instantaneous thing, is a slow and insidious process. Therefore it must be protected against any encroachment.

Any possible threat to bodily autonomy must be dealt with, you never know how badly things may get. But we do what happens when people don't care about this stuff.

Take men for example, they couldn't care less about their bodily autonomy, that's the reason why they are drafted to die in useless wars and the reason why their dicks get cut when they are children.

Women see how badly men got it, and they don't want any of that shit, therefore women make efforts to not become tools.

Overreach always happens, but it's the price to pay for staying vigilant.

They are not.

They are terrified of restricting themselves to men who they see as unworthy, incapable and useless.

It's actually fully within a woman's interest to limit herself. If she's assured a high value man who not only makes her feel she's picked a top man, but who also provides and protects her and their children she has zero reason to look elsewhere, or 'dabble' with lots of different men.

If women realise that the higher their notch count the less likely they will be to attract the best possible man you'd be surpised how most thinking women will reign themselves in pretty damn well.

Our problems today are that most women (especially in Western/North American) countries have a massively inflated sense of entitlement and cannot see themselves realistically. Raised on a diet of 'be yourself' (and carbs by the looks of things) we see very average and plain women with little to offer thinking they are deserving of high quality males.

At the same time we have an education system literally destroying masculinity, dropping the 'quality' of manhood. Women's influence over education and politics has actually harmed their own interests.

Making more betas. Ensuring fewer men even graduate and pushing women to earn more than men is setting women up to fail.

The sexual revolution has been great for men because it's created a supply of cheap lays. In the past you would need to find and pay a hooker or a 'loose' girl. Now pretty much every woman will bed you after a few dates if you have even basic game.

Women are not freer now...they are just more available.

Because so many women think that they can land that Chad if they try hard enough. It’s like saying that it would be better to restrict the number of men who can start a business because most of their businesses are going to fail and it’s better for them that that doesn’t happen. Sure, it’s true, but it’s also limiting dreams and the freedom to pursue those dreams, which is overall dehumanizing.

I think that personally it’s better to create a culture of social shame for certain sexual behaviors for both men and women like what existed in the old days in the West and still largely exists in Asia rather than to tell people who they can and can’t have sex with.

Modern ideologies.

There is no practical difference between a woman being owned and controlled by a guy she really likes anyway who treats her well and fairly and listens to and respects her thoughts and ideas ... and a woman not being owned or controlled by that same guy. If she’s attracted to the guy and he’s good to her, there’s no practical difference.

But ideologically, the idea of a man having literal power and control over her is grating. The fact that a man could abuse his power and she has to trust him to take good care of her and do what’s best for her and their family is terrifying. Trust a man? Modern women would rather legally engineer a situation where trust isn’t needed and men have no choice but to behave a certain way.

And now that there’s no need to trust your partner, nobody does.
