TL;DR: start to swallow TRP after multiple break up scares and document my journey. GF finds my blog, reads it and texts me we're over. Ready to move on. Already lifting. Need advice for a beginner.
Background: I have been beta all of my life, but had started to get better in the last few months. Get GF. In LTR for a few months, but half of the time I was in an intense coding bootcamp, only seeing gf once a week. I was acting very beta and was giving in during arguments during this time due to the emotional stress of the bootcamp. Big mistake. During these arguments she would say things like " I don't think I can give you what you want," "You aren't making me feel beautiful," "I don't feel an emotional connection," etc etc. I would say things like "ok, let's try and make this work. It's because I just don't know you well enough. We haven't spent enough time with eachother." I now know what this all really means and that it is a result of my Mr. Nice Guy Syndrome.
The GOODS:
So after a few months of lurking and listening to The Black Phillip Show(RIP) I started to finally swallow TRP. On my journey to the new me I bought No More Mr. Nice Guy like you guys recommended. I began writing about this new journey and how my Nice Guy Syndrome had me acting beta all my life and more. Typical TRP epiphanies. I'm doing the exercises in the book and writing my answers on my blog. I thought if I wrote the emotions I was feeling, rather than sharing them with her, it would be more constructive, while letting me say what I wanted to say. Well she found the blog, read what I wrote texted me this huge paragraph about how we're different, that I need to work on myself, things just won't work out, etc etc.
Well thanks to the red pill and previous preparations for this break up, I'm actually feeling pretty damn good after this break up. Better than I've ever felt after a breakup. Granted I had already dealt with the emotional bullshit cuz I thought it was going to end on 3 different occasions previously, but I digress.
I realize now that It's time to unplug, shed my previous self, and go full monk mode. I've already been lifting for a few months so I've got that covered, but I still need help. I'd love any advice from you guys about going monk mode, how to stay strong and disciplined during this time, and how to not lose frame during this transformative period. Links, words of advice, tips, tricks, w/e would all be appreciated.
