The reason girls do this is because they're experimenting with the power dynamics of a relationship. They're flexing those manipulative muscles and trying to get boys to do what they like. Some fail and learn that you can't mess around with people's emotions if you want to be respected. Others end up landing cuck after cuck and never learning how to maintain a healthy relationship because it's all based on manipulation instead of cooperation.

And the real kicker, at least here in Germany: After the tightening of the laws governing sexual offences last year, being insistent and keep trying to get a date after a woman said "NO!" can actually count as sexual harassment and get you in serious legal trouble.

So what I hear now when she is asking why that man was not more persistent is "Why is the fucker not walking right into the next police station and reports himself as sex offender? Would safe me from having to do this myself!" It is incredibly ridiculous. First, they wanted that laws tightened and they kept telling us that not respecting a "No" is toxic masculinity... and then they complaing when we respect their wishes and are also aware that not respecting them could mean serious legal trouble.

For fucks sake, stealing that first kiss after a couple of dates now counts as sexual assault officially. Of course only if she wants to.

Seriously, for a sane and somewhat rational man there simply seems to be no other way than to stay as far away as possible from women.

Had something similar happen lately.

Asked a girl out on a brief coffee date. She said “lol /u/Cavannah I see you as a brother”, so I broke off all contact immediately and moved on.

I couldn’t care less, but she’s now trying to make a point of throwing up IOIs. My guess is that it’s either a hard-to-get flirting strategy or she can’t handle the tacit mutual rejection. Maybe both.

It doesn’t matter; she had her chance and rejected it. No game-playing is going to occur this early.

The last guy may as well be me. After a certain point she started being crappy to me for whatever reason and I had enough so I decided to pull away myself. She went kinda bonkers, even said: "Wow, can't believe you can fall out of love (with me) this quickly." They are fucking insane guys. Insane.

My wife tried this just recently.

She got irrationally jealous of somebody I'm completely not attracted to. Then one day she freaks out over something insanely stupid and the next day she leaves. A couple days go by. Then she informs me that it's over. Unbeknownst to me, she wanted me to apologize because in the argument I didn't tell you about, I called her crazy, said fuck this, and walked away She'd been telling my friends that she wanted me to apologize, as I said, and they basically told her "Yeah...that's not gonna happen." So she came back and all was well. Well, except for her masked insanity.
