A lot of the topics that come up here are bannable in most other subs, so it's nice to see the filter come off. I do think there's quite a few people here who are unhinged, and I still think that quite a few regulars here either suffer from antisocial personality disorder or are on the spectrum (possibly both).

But there's still a lot of interesting people here with things to say. I shit on incels sometimes, but even I can agree with them on a few things. I kinda consider this my guilty-pleasure sub. I come here to listen to people argue, engage in arguments, and mostly lurk. But at the end of the day, I wouldn't change anything.

As much as the people here can do my fuckin' head in some days, I would never want them to be censored or have them silenced. These spaces are necessary, I think, for nothing more than the airing of grievances.

PPD is good for avoiding echo chambers and circle jerking, so a lot more nuanced worldviews and ideas can be discussed.

Plus it's kinda fun, it made me kinda approach the whole idea of "gender wars" in a lot more light-hearted and fun way. People use the internet for venting often, especially when it comes to more controversial topics such as gender dynamics, and even the people who seem very hostile are probably just normal good people who are trying to do well, but end up frustrated and exaggerate the trends they notice in society. We are all just trying our best in the current dating market.

I'm mostly content lurking.

I do appreciate being able to talk about that with people having different opinions, from the BP dreamers, to the BP fatalists, salty RP, screeching feminists, whether they're in disguise or not. It's interesting, being able to get information and seeing talks on that.

If I tried to have these conversations irl, I'd be called a misogynistic douche at best, and incel at worst, since it's the go to insult now.

So while it's sad to see the mental state and bitterness of some at times, on top of being repetitive and toxic if ingested too often, I'm really happy about this place existing. It's not an echo chamber.
