my wife always had frequent episodes of severe acne due to PCOS. We've been 11 years together. Though wife said that her acne gets better when she stops washing her face, so maybe your acne, while being a hormonal issue probably, could be helped if you stop trying to make it better and just let it be greasy.

But I'd agree acne is harming femininity more than masculinity.

accutane is dangerous, be careful.

Don't wash your skin too much, your skin is overreacting to what is perceived to be a lack of moisture. My brother and sisters used to have acne problems, a doctor siggest bio oil. It worked really well for them . Also reduce stress. Acne is a problem is for both women and men, but I guess men can rely on height(If they're tall) or bodybuilding to overcome some facial flaws like acne.

I once married a woman who had severe acne and eventually developed scars from it. I wouldn't say that it bothered me or took much away from her beauty.

She took accutane as well for a while and was miserable to be around during that period. However, it lightened the issue quite a bit.... and later I helped her pay for some laser resurfacing to reduce the scars. Overall... it was a much bigger issue to her than to me.

Using makeup isn't catfishing... and do you seriously want a guy who is repulsed if you get a flare up? Because that does happen down the road... especially if you use makeup.

In my opinion? Yes. Femininity is described by soft features, and acne kind of takes away the soft features. If you are interested in fixing your skin, Accutane is dangerous, but the results speak for themselves.

Well when I was a teen I had bad acne and I picked at it due to stress, making it worse. I had a damn sausage pizza face. Men didn’t really look my way or like me “like that”. Or rather, the ones I liked didn’t look my way. Shy, accepting, meek types liked me but I never liked them.

My skin has gotten clearer over the years and I attract men I actually like now. Having a slim figure helps even if you have a breakout or acne scars, a healthy face helps also (no dark circles, eye bags, a million wrinkles, tweaker looking features). I mention the last part cause some slender body type women look like drug addicts just from their face.

Offtopic:

Friendly advice, try drinking more water. Acne are usually there due to high levels of toxin in your organism. Accutane will lower simptoms, but it wont make it go away permanently.

Also if you are on any sort of hormonal therapy, try to go without it.
