Not only nurses, I know a doctor's female secretary that wrote a whole paragraph about it:
"Although i'm only a medical management assistant, i'm still working for you! I have to cancel a lot of appointments, inform a lot of patients and help people out as much as possible. Oh and to be clear: my job isnt just drinking coffee, in case you thought that."

In my country in a town hospital a female doctor and all nurses resigned and left the hospital when arrived a Corrona virus case.A lot of resignations from female personnel nurses (mass resignation).It is on the local news.

Everybody is afraid of dying but nobody more than the human female.

Honestly I am more impressed with this really old dude at the shops in full operation quarantine mode. I stepped about two metres behind him in line and he just pointed at me and said "one more step cunt". Shit I wasn't even mad, he looking out for his health. Just said "my bad" and waited til he was done and went on with my day.

The funny thing is, most of the nurses I know are terrible. From calling in sick multiple times to hit up the beach and sun tan, to getting written up numerous times because they fucked up their jobs and had to get the union involved. Most of these types shouldn't be left alone near a knife or syringe let alone be in the position to save a life.

I'm a nurse/nurse supervisor. Most of the people I know aren't making a big deal out of it. There are always some virtue signaling dipshits on social media whether they are nurses, moms, MLM ponzi artists, whatever. I am not some angel. Most people in the hospital don't seem to care that much---they put on their masks and do the same shit they've always done.

I am actually getting a bit annoyed that random people are thanking me for my job. It's the field I went into and I get paid six figures for it. I have dealt with potentially deadly, communicable diseases requiring PPE on a regular basis the entire time I've been a nurse. No one forced me to be in the medical field.

Reddit and a few hobby-sprcific forums are the only social media I am on so I don't see it much, but catch the occasional "hero nurse" screenshot from FB.

As someone else said, do your damn job. If someone wants to thank you, it goes a long way - I totally get that. Do not solicit for validation. It is trashy.

I don't make anouncements after every flight saying "hey folks! I didn't crash us! I'm working for you! Thank me!". Nope, I just do my job and the little recognition I get for it is a great confidence booster, but to beg for it is distasteful.

P.S. anyone wanna hire a furloughed airline pilot until this industry gets back to normal? (Not yet, but I'll probably be jobless any week now).

Yep. Like don’t get me wrong, they’re doing an important job, but it’s the same job they do all year long. I’m still required to work and because of coronavirus they’ve changed the way we accomplish our job, which is putting us more at risk for contracting it but not a peep from society about us. Not that i want validation, but nurses aren’t the only ones in the way of the disease right now, and hospitals are incredibly clean and sanitary. My job is not

Yeah! I live in one of these social countries and I hate that my taxes are going towards these attention seekers. Need to do away with universal healthcare, it’s only made this whole situation worse. Look at Europe in tatters, countries led by socialist women. The US is doing so much better when we don’t have to deal with socialists, look at liberal New York destroyer because of liberals ripping apart the medical system.

I worked in an ER for two years. Most nurses sit on there ass for 20 minutes every hour. Even at peak hours they step out for 20 minutes at a time. Yes they are essential, but they do not work constantly. Head/Charge nurse, included. Also they get paid great. The grocery store workers don't get paid well and will probably get Corona virus too. But with more heavy lifting and less money benefits and respect.

Regardless of profession, it’s always women that are constantly posting these train of thought, mental gymnastics, self-validation posts. Nurses/medical professionals are especially bad right now. On one hand, I get it, it’s scary af out there right now, but on the other hand, you kinda signed up for the job knowing the risks. Name one RN who didn’t have to learn about the risks of a pandemic in nursing school.
