I once had a female co-worker who said that one of her friends did this when she found out she was pregnant. She was sleeping with several men at the time, so obviously she didn't know who the real father is, so she went with the one with the best job. Now, that's understandable, what surprised me my co-worker was being ok with that and saying that it's not a big deal, since the "daddy" will think the child is his and raise it as his own, so everyone wins.

Bonus P.S. that co-worker was an early 20s single mum herself.

Always get a paternity test. She will likely cry, "Don't you trust me" (common in a LTR) or she will try to guilt you.

As someone who sees a lot of paternity disputes, I have personally witnessed women perjure themselves on multiple occasions within the same case sequentially identifying potential fathers (as the "only guy" is eliminated, they name another). They typically cover their perjury with plausible explanations like "I must have been drunk" with the obvious implication that they were raped. In virtually all of the cases, the fathers are identified sequentially or in the case of multiple fathers being honestly identified more aggressively pursued (1st choice, 2nd choice) based on economic/social status. If you seen the Maury "you are not the father" shows you get the idea. Of course, there are no consequences for the perjurers. Lose your job and get behind on child support? Go to jail for contempt. Felonious lying under oath in open court? Enjoy your afternoon. These oath breakers are coddled by the Courts, the social service agencies, and the non profits.

Oftentimes the accusations are years after the fact when the man has "made it" financially and has a wife and kids. In their quest for the Child Support Lottery these tramps will, without any remorse, ruin marriages.

AF/BB is a false dichotomy, since ideally a woman would want to gain commitment from Mr. AB (Alpha Bucks). Obviously, Mr. AB is going to be the most selective of men and will loathe to give his commitment, if at all.

Since 99% of women fail to obtain Mr. AB, for obvious reasons, they adopt the AF/BB strategy in order to get the best of both worlds. Even then, Mr. BB could simply be a lesser Alpha, only chosen over competing AF's due to his ability to provide and his willingness to commit.

It's when women hit, or become conscious of, the wall that they begin to focus on BB as AF's become more and more scarce, but the less attractive a woman becomes, the more Beta her prospects are when it comes to gaining commitment. In other word's, a 20-year-old, attractive woman might be able to snag a "BB" who is still high SMV and part of the top 20%, while the same woman at the age of 50 would have to get a BB from the bottom of the barrel. Being the BB does not necessarily mean that the man is a sniveling Blue Pill pussy.

if you're getting sex, and she's (also getting sex from AFs), then it doesn't really matter as much as if she's not providing you sex, but getting it from AFs. Relatively speaking. So always ensure you're getting your desires matched.
Women want an AP. Alpha Provider. Because they can't have both, they opt for AF/BB. As long as you DNA test every time, there can be no situation where you are raising someone elses' child. The only negative here is that she might have cheated on you but if you're alpha enough she might not.
It's much worse if she has to depend on you for resources (like in many cases). If she is better off than you, then the risks are diminished.

Another wrinkle. What if she kept you around solely for that purpose (safety net BB). Do i even bother kicking myself for not being good enough for her or is this girl just a true manipulator and should be avoided regardless of your status as a man?
