I was 5 years with the same notebook, and video card went damaged, i buyed a machine with for a Ryzen 3 ,i am not a heavy gamer, and play mostly old stuff. But the cost benefit for me worked fine, and i only spent money once, not every month.

In youth i was always running after the new upgrades, but i am not in that race anymore.

I've been thinking since last year when the Ryzen 3xxx SKUS were released that it seems AMD is ready to stop being seen as the budget option only and instead as a viable option in the high end market.

Pretty competitive too. From what I've seen, the 3600x delivers the same performance as the i7-8700k did two years ago for half the price (where I live). And that's frankly still a fantastic CPU.
