I've been working on myself almost religiously for just over a year now (with the idea of self-growth being on my mind 95% of the time). Almost everything I watch is related to how to grow. I'm pushing myself to better. I'm reading the books. I'm getting out of my comfort zone. But the growth feels SO slow.

I try to avoid comparing, but I'm not naive enough to assume that society isn't competitive. You need to be better. I sometimes see people my age who were maybe raised in more emotionally supportive environments, and it's like they're clueless about the things going on around them, but they exude this natural self-confidence and skill from childhood. It took me psychedelics and tons of videos and practice on body language just to realize that I had emotions and how to read other people intuitively. Sure, now, I can actively change my body language and I can read people more thoroughly than someone who's just using intuition, but what was the cost? I feel like the gains from the work I'm putting in are way less than the work to get there.

I'm 21 and feel like I'm behind in terms of where I can be in maturity. And I'm working obsessively to improve. I want to be at the point where I'm 30, and am at the mental age of someone 50. Life is so short and I want to accomplish as much as possible for my purpose, but to do that, you can't be in the same place as everyone else. You either have to have some sort of talent, or you have to grow faster. You have to be grounded, live in your own frame, and be unwavering when facing risks. As easy it is to write, it's 1000000x harder to enact in real life.

Any tips from you older guys on how to grow faster?
