In my country as a young man you get exploited so much. Since we have conscription all young men from 17+ have to serve in the army or for the public (Red Cross, etc.) while all women can go to university already for example. You would think that you at least get decent payment: haha no, you get only 300€ per month. Equality, right lads?

Outside of family and close friends I usually refuse to work for free. Your time is your own and you have no obligation to work for anyone else because they don’t see your spare time as valuable. Do what makes you happy man. If you don’t wNt to work for free then don’t. Set a standard for these people too. Like “I’ll work for you for x$/hr” and if they say no that’s fine. Enjoy your time off.

Hard work builds character. I would be much more inclined to say no to a female relative than a male relative because at least you can bond and learn something from an older male relative but again, if this older male relative is a blue pill mangina simp well then he can go to hell too, but again, depends who’s asking. Don’t be afraid of hard work.

My insane toxic af MIL literally tried to break up BIL's marriage so she could have him back as her worker bee and surrogate hubby. He had high paying academic job and she would be chiding him for not driving 6 hours to come and mow the fucking lawn. Kicker was those fuckers were rich and could easily afford to hire help.

It's your family........... I've said this in other posts many times...... Male labor together is how men bond. I have a group of male friends who we labor together and then eat together. This whole time spent together, solving small problems together etc is a bonding time and of course, the person who needs the labor provides the food. We all cook and clean afterwards, it's a time and a way that men connect. Now of course not all men are going to see it that way, some just do want to use you for your young back. Basically, look for male relationships where if you needed their labor they would be there for you as well, and by labor i mean time.

You wouldnt be feeling this way if your uncle was meeting you in the middle on this like paying you fair or offering something of equal value. You set the value others put on you and I can imagine that you probably dont want to say just no because then your life will come up under inspection from your unlce and be shown not to be up your family standards whatever they are "not helping the family that helped you" kind of stuff will. A lot of familes use religeon as form of control alot to. Just dont feel bad is all. Youre only mad because you are afraid.
