The comments here are disgusting. "Love language" etc, all of this crap. Yeah, sure. And what about appreciating what the other does, even if it's not the way you like it the most? Just because you would like a gift better (and in her case given how "serious" she is about it doesn't look like it's just about it being a memory of the event) not being able to appreciate what your SO would do for you show that the person wiould be better off without you. Period. You have the right to have your own preferences, sure, but being unappreciative because "it's not what I'd like the most" is just ridiculous and it shows quite a twisted meaning of the word "love" here.
