These are not facts. I will say that studies have shown exercise to be as effective as medicine when it comes to treating depression, but that's based on science. The masturbation thing you just made up. What I appreciate about TRP is that it bases it's hypotheses on evidence. People with PhDs (doesn't make them right, but probably makes them more right than you) study this stuff for decades. The rest of the post is solid advice, however.

This is basically a simplified list of everything that has been preached here for years, so nothing new. Two things hit me though.

You say don't be a meathead just go for "six-pack abs" like it's no big deal and don't worry about counting calories.

Maybe you have six-pack abs and don't count calories. If so, you have good genetics. For most men it's harder to get a six pack than getting jacked and in order to get a six pack you have to count calories and be more disciplined about your diet than a jacked guy does.

Studies show that getting "jacked" does not equal getting laid. Just as being overweight can be a turnoff to women, so can have too much muscle. That's why most of the advice in this sub is about getting STRONGER not getting BIGGER.

A) it's ironic you are telling other people what to do with their time yet you just complained about seeing other men post on social media. This means you're spending too much time on social media.

Get off social media. It's a waste of time, and to quote you:

The key here is getting stronger mentally.

Working out also takes care of this. Pushing yourself and having determination and also discipline will increase mental fortitude.

I understand the "fuck video games" mentality of this post and many others, but I would argue that some video games can be a very good mental stimulus.

For example, I'm currently playing through The Talos Principle. It is a puzzle game similar to Portal but with fairly harder puzzles. However, it is the story of the game that is very thought provoking. Without giving too much away, you gather the story by reading archives on computers you find around the world. These documents focus heavily on materialist philosophy, as well as similar schools of thought. Then you discover an AI on the computers that claims to be a simple program to help you navigate the files. Yet, as you keep conversing with the AI, it starts to sound more and more like a conscious being. The AI then continues to question you on things such as morality, materialism, consciousness, god, etc.

The game is essentially an entire philosophy class, while also challenging your problem solving skills with crazy ass puzzles. It has been the catalyst for many philosophical debates with my friends and expands my mind as much as a good book. Of course, this is not a trend with most video games and takes some digging around to find the good ones like The Talos Principle.

Some very good points OP. I think most of us in this sub know we need to do these things, at least subconsciously, however it is always putting it into practice that is the most difficult thing.

I disappeared from social media 3 months ago, No facebook, no Whatsapp, no dating websites, I also sold my smartphone, and downgraded to an old blackberry, I saw only pros :

More time to do other activities ( fishing, learning spanish, gym, karate)
Some girls reaching me by calls or SMS
Approaching girls in public

If I have an advice for you guys, it's to disappear from the virtual world for a while.
