Agreed. Plates should be a phase in your life to have some fun and learn how girls think; not a permanent solution. You can't be 80 and spinning plates. Also, spinning plates is hard work. I've had up to 6 plates at a time, but even 2 or 3 takes a lot of time. If you can't hang out with a girl at least once a week, she's going to start looking elsewhere for dick and emotional gratification. Also, most girls that are fine being "plates" are often low self-esteem and crazy. Most of my plates that were worth a shit told me to either commit or they will leave and find a guy that would.

A lot of the talk here about plates is just lying too.

It explains why women do not fall in love as deeply and lose interest in a man professing love. A blue pill guy would think being deeply in love would make a girl want you more. That's what I used to think. But women, as we know, have built in abundance. So, they get one-itis much less easily. Also, if they have any experience, they know that the higher value guys they've been with or around do not display one-itis to this degree. So, by having one-itis for them, you are strongly signaling that you are lower on the social totem pole. This intersects with their own low self esteem, of course ("I wouldn't want to be a part of any club that would have me as a member").

Plates or plate theory is a model of dating that swings the balance in favor of men - if applied well. If applied poorly, it doesn't do that, it leads to negative outcomes.

The reason spinning plates is important is very simple - it's not that it's a solution to one-itis, it's a solution to women wanting commitment before sex, and wanting commitment and emotional progression before you've evaluated them. No plate lasts forever, because no woman will be happy as your slampig indefinitely unless she has zero self-esteem, in which case you probably won't keep her forever anyway because she'll be fucking boring or a nut case. But in that time it lasts, you get to evaluate her. What does she like, what is her real count, what values does she have, how does she finances, how does she loyalty, what are her friends like, how often does she lie, etc.

SMV is easy to evaluate. RMV is harder - you have to fish and fish, you must scape all the shit off the shoe before you can assess value.

So you plate. Before I knew about plates, I thought about it as giving a girl an internship. An exclusive company will hire 10 interns for 1 position they want to fill and give them each a summer to let the interns "put out" for free - like a plate - with the hope that giving up all this free value will result in the company being so impressed that they give the intern the full time position. It's genius - and yeah, the company can invest a little time and money into the intern too, but the key is that if nothing comes from the internship, the company walks away with free dick-sucking. Plates allow you to test drive some pussy without paying a payment, and if you don't like it, you walk away having enjoyed that free pussy.

The reason you spin plates is not so much to avoid oneitis as it is to avoid losing your objectivity. You cannot evaluate her clearly if your dick is in scarcity, if she's the girl you're investing all this time into and "dating" her like she's an actual wife prospect, you will be mentally compromised from the start. If I am investing time and or money into her, my judgment will be compromised and I won't see things like the way she omits things here or there, or the way she idolizes and looks up to some trashy skank friend, or some kind or other red / yellow flag.

Lastly young guys especially need to learn to spin plates to maximize their experience dealing with shit tests, break up shit tests, tantrums, LMR, and all kinds of shenanigans that come out of women when you try to put them in the fuckzone. Plates are a way of getting dense, multi-layered experience with multiple archetypes of women, it's like getting to take many bitch classes in college. Your skills and your ability to not be bullshitted will grow faster the more plates you spin.

Live a fulfilling life without women

What you have to understand is that a lot of men cannot live a fulfilling life unless they experience an abundance of women. I might be projecting here, but I have an innate desire to have sex with as many women as possible (and I'm sure the majority of men do) and until I've accomplished that I wouldn't consider my life fulfilled even if having an abundance of women is the only thing left on my bucket list. I think that the better option is to figure out how to live a fulfilling life without women. If every single girl and plate you have just disappeared, you shouldn't feel a compulsion to have women there. This is a little MGTOW territory, but I don't subscribe to that.

I've been reading the TRP for a couple months now, still getting through the literature. I understand the basis of spinning plates; cure oneitis.

Now, my big question is do you tell the girl(s) that you're spinning plates? I ask this because it would definitely take any power dynamic out it. It all swings over to your favor and lets them know that you're the one in control and have options. OR do you keep the fact you're spinning plates to yourself and just use the knowledge that you have options to maintain frame and control?

Having oneitis is indeed a beta trait. Being most secure and happy with one girl only is a product of having bad self image. You can't see yourself as someone desirable to women, because in your unconscious truthful mind, you are in fact undeniable genetically beta material, so you'll cling to anyone that shows you interest, and then invest all your effort into that subject because your self image tells you that you will never ever have another chance. I've got a classmate who is about 1.95 (6'5") and roughly 100kg (220 lbs). He's been doing bodybuilding for a few years. Good genetics, but no game at all. He recently had a girlfriend who he would spend the entire day talking to. If he got a message, he would answer immidietly with a ton of hearts and how "she was the best thing that ever happened to him". I predicted it would last for about 6-7 months and she broke up with him after about 10.

I assume it was one of the few girls he got without being drunk at a party, because nobody who's been spinning a few plates will act like that.

I've got another classmate who acts sort of the same way. He's nearly as tall as the first guy, muscular and ripped as fuck. He was a skinny gamer before I knew him and he started to train and eat well 3 years ago. He also recently got a girlfriend who just left abroad for a semester. When she had decided to go there a few months ago he told me, with a sad voice: "I've FINALLY gotten a girlfriend and the first thing she does is leave for a semester". I almost had to laugh.

My point is, even genetically gifted, muscular men who are well above top 20% in the looks department often doesn't have what it takes to get lots of girls. I'm both smaller, shorter and have poorer facial genetics than both but I know how to handle girls way better. Game, confidence, abundance mentality, being dominant and taking what you want is more important than being slightly better looking.

I totally agree. Plates just patch up the oneitis. Humans are so succesful in nature because we are so incredibly adaptive to our environments. No plates? Adapt. Lots of opportunities? Grab them. Tough times ahead? Endure it.

I find car analogies great to use within Red Pill Theories. Why would you keep a Ferrari on your driveway that you are not allowed to drive? The illusion some of us first get is that it's a challenge to get multiple women to want to be in your life.

When actually it is no real challenge. It doesn't fill those long term goals that your character strives for.

You would then focus on your personal goals, building up your empire. Women will still be wanting to be involved.

I also believe that it's not so good for the psyche to be with so many women and cut that emotional connection that we all naturally desire.
