Who here said they want to force women to get abortions? It sounds like you’re confused on what the term “legal abortion” means. It’s not some messed up dystopian thing where a man can have the woman dragged away to have an abortion done against her will. All it means is that if the woman has the child the men can sign away his parental rights and his responsibility to pay child support. Many people advocate for the latter on this sub. I’ve never seen anyone ask for the former. Your post is a straw man.

Some men here want it to be law that in the case a woman gets pregnant with his child, he can by law order her to get an abortion. So, he's saying he wants to be able to choose an operation that will be carried out on her body.

No... this is not the common position. The common position is to allow for financial abortion. The man loses every right and responsability that comes with parenthood. Nothing more, nothing less.

It isn't about making a woman abort, it is about a man deciding if he wants to be a parent in a post conception moment in the same way women can make that decision through abortion.

I think it's a fun hypothetical (mainly because I don't think I really want kids). if anything it puts everyone literally on the fence about having sex with anyone, for the sake of seeing what would happen which would likely be a general decline of sex and possibly relationships in general (for people that are heterosexual atleast) I'd be fine with it.

Men should certainly not be able to order women to kill their own children, for the same reason that women should not be able to kill their own children - because killing other distinct individual human beings that have not aggressed on one is both wrong and morally bankrupt.

That said, your “equivalency” isn’t actually equivalent.

A man’s testicles do not carry distinct individual human beings. Rather, they carry his sperm, just as a woman’s ovaries carry her eggs, but unlike a woman’s womb which carries their distinct individual human child.

So, an accurate equivalency would take the following form:

Should not a woman be allowed to legally order a man to have a vasectomy if a man is allowed to legally order a woman to have a hysterectomy?

And the obvious answer is that neither should be allowed to legally order the sterilization of the other.

Not equivalent in the slightest. Sterilization vs termination of a fetus. Men don't need the right to order abortion. They need to be freed from any legal obligation from a child that belongs to the woman and the government but not him. He has no rights regarding the child so he bears no obligation

A. Abortion doesn't pose a risk of permanent infertility (that's a myth), while vasectomy does

B. Point to where a man said men should be able to "force women to have abortions".

You could conceivably bring in a law that a man can require a woman to have her tubes tied if she approaches him for sex. But you know what will happen. She will simply won't approach. She'll refuse to have sex with him and play with her vibrator instead
