They always try to make it sound like equal results would mean fairness and equality but in reality it couldn't be further from the truth. Funny people get paid as comedians, that's how it goes. Most women aren't funny, not because people are sexist towards women, but because most women aren't funny and the ones that try to make wisecracks come off as stupid and annoying. I've known funny women but they're nothing at all like amy shoemer or some of those other ones, as in they actually say or do shit that's funny because it's part of their personality.

I am a working comedian, and it boggles my mind how much at the lower and middle levels of booked/paid gigs women have a premium. For instance... lets say there is 100 comedians in my city, 90 men, 10 women... lets also say on any given night there is 3 shows, needing 4 comics per, so 12 comics will be booked on any given night. The bookers almost always make it a point to have no less than 1 woman on the show, meaning roughly 1/3 of all the female “comics” will be on a show every night, meanwhile, the males are at around the 1/9 mark. They get 3 times the opportunity, dispite having 1/3 the talent, because let me be clear... even the “funny ones” could never in 1000 years genuinely hold their own with the funny guys. They can get cheap laughs, and claps for whatever horseshit thing they are bitching about or saying how much dick they suck, but they are pure garbage compared to men who are funny.

So thats 1/3 the talent, to recieve 3 times the opportunities. Mathematicaly a male comic has to work 9 times harder than a woman to break out of the low/mid levels of comedy show bookings.

I did an honest attempt to watch the "leather special" on Netflix a few months back. I chuckled once or twice, it was just seriously bad humour.

But I just think the state of comedy in general is shit. I've been watching (listening to) the Netflix comedy specials over the last few weeks while driving home and they are mostly just bad, when the funniest people on Netflix are a guy with puppets and a fat guy making fat jokes you know there's a problem.

edit: I found a few more funny comedy specials, there's still hope :)

Joan Rivers is one of my favorite standup comics of all time (George Carlin and Chris Rock are the others). Griffin and 99% of women couldn't hope to match her. You never heard Rivers bitching about inequality, she focused on FUNNY and won the respect of everyone that saw her perform.

It's a matter of economy and talent. Men are typically the ones who go to see comics, and they bring along their wives and girlfriends. Rare is it for a woman to take a guy to a comedy show. My wife is one of the few exceptions because we enjoy them. I'm impossible to get gifts for as there is little stuff out there I like to purchase new. In fact I like to make things, but I'm finicky when it come to purchasing tools and what, so she can't even buy me tools. So it's comedy shows, and video games for me when she goes shopping for my birthday and Christmas (again, I'm not a gift guy). But we only see those comics we both like and want to go see. My wife finds female comedians boring as fuck and pointless. So that's where the talent issue comes in.

Then you have men who in all reality want to see other men doing comedy. Because at the very least they can empathize to some degree with the male comedian and will find their topic of comedy funny. Where men can't empathize with women typically, but women empathize with men, yeah it' weird but it happens thank to feminism and making many women have to serve and fill originally masculine roles. So men as the purchasers will prefer men as comedians, and lots of women will prefer men as well.

But nu-feminists hate free markets as freedom is anathema to their designs and demands. And thus they bitch about their low worth in the marketplace.
