From time to time, we get this post turning up. It happened when I first subscribed to this subreddit, it happened before I took a break from reddit, now this post appears again.

Look, there's no set criteria on what r/MGTOW should or should not be. If you want better content, then post better content. Otherwise, it is a place where men just post what they want.

That's why I understand why this post always appear time and again and yet I also sometimes don't understand why our members don't understand the concept of "want better? do better"

Yeah I’ve noticed there are different kinds of MGTOW on here, some don’t even want sex with girls anymore, some do still want to grab some ass, some guys are filled with hatred from a bad divorce, some guys just like to be alone and have freedom.

What you're seeing are the initial effects of red pill rage. Many of the men on this sub only discovered MGTOW after they were ruined by a relationship. They are seeing that they've been lied to and used their entire lives and anger is a very natural reaction to that. Anger is part of the process. I completely agree that getting stuck in the "anger step" is not healthy, though. Getting past the anger step is the only way we can truly find ourselves and escape the past. It just takes some guys longer than others.

I've noticed an increase in incel-ish content lately. I can certainly see how someone who is on the fence would find the whole thing off putting because of it.

Although we are going our own way, our natural biological attraction to women can sometimes make it challenging. Thus it can be helpful to sometimes remind ourselves of the way women really tick so we don't get fooled again.

I agree that alot of posts latley are on the borderline cringe level, however I my mind these are still posts which need to happen. Sometimes people respond to them negatively so these posters learn that their posts are not really what alot of men want in MGTOW so mabye they learn. Sometimes people take the time to explain that what their doing is limiting themselves with that behavior. Sometimes people understand that alot of men are hurt and need to have some form of revenge fantasy how petty it might be (for example: Hahaha a girl asked me to pass the ketchup and I did not, I'm not your slave a.k.a. pretty petty and no revenge at all).

However what OP is doing I do not agree with, sure you can complain about MGTOW posts, in my mind you should be able to post anything one here as this should still be a market place of free ideas, so even OP's post should be allowed and might be contribute in someway. There reason why I do not agree with OP is that all though we might not like the tone swift, allthough we might think people be better off not posting those things and focusing on getting their lives together, allthough we might not agree with how they are finding their way, they are still men trying to find their way post blue pill and they do not benefit from tone policing or from 'more experience' MGTOWs how to do their own way. So to sum up I understand the frustation from OP and I share it, and sometimes I also criticize posts on here, however we should not try to control posts being posted on this subreddit. What we should do is post more wholesome succes stories if we want to change the tone, or in short if we want to see more posts we like we should posts more post we like. I for example am really enjoying seeing photos of guys travelling and their dogs, and guys telling their financiel succes stories, so I aspire to post those someday.

Then one final remark, and this is one we might want to watch out for as a MGTOW community, we should not view it as a kind of thing we should defend. So some people might call MGTOWs incels or pathetic bassed on certain posts, and yes that might be very true, but it is not my job to defend other men or other MGTOW the simple point is I ascribe to its core values whatever else I do is my own. So trying to defend this subbreddit or trying to make the content better by making certain rules which might excluded other MGTOW to me seems be taking a step away from the core philosophy of MGTOW, basically stating you going your own way. Again you are free to dislike and critizice, however this is nobodies subreddit and nobody should be able to make tone policing rules.

I've spoken on the same topic a while back. So many are obsessed with women that they are not going their own way but are running close to the incel camp. Commenting almost incessantly on female nature and attempting to trash "chads" because they have what they do not. That kind of envy (and in some cases, jealousy) is going to destroy the foundation of self improvement.

What is worse is that many of them will shit on fellow MGTOW simply because they do not do the same . Using the same tactics as toxic feminists and their supporters. Extremism is not a flat line. The far edges of each curve toward each other until all the differentiates them are the colors worn or the contents of their pants.

I hear ya, OP. Some of the content is wincable. I cringe at the posts with all fem-hate themes but, I guess, a lot of guys are busted up over a relationship that went sour or a realization that the world isn't what they hoped it to be. Classic turn from Blue to Red, to oversimplify it. It is a part of the process for some.

What I will probably get downvoted for is saying that Men can be super shitty in their own way and sometimes fail to see how their own behavior leads to at least some of the problems they have with those of the opposite sex. I speak for myself here but MGTOW is men self imposing a departure from interactions will the ladies because the game is set up so that we always lose...or not worth the cost of playing in the first place. The woman bashing I can do without.

All male only spaces who were specific to one thing have been getting banned. Also let us not forget 'infiltratrors' who may not come in peace at all but to post shocking and women hating/ women bashing things in order for other reddit managers to see and ban this also.

I dont really care either way i dont expect to see only 1 or 2 things all the time. This is an all male space and i dont mind what they post. Thats just my 2 cents, carry on

This is no better than the tradcucks and male feminists who both say "you need to change who you are in order to live a good life."

I never needed you, nor MGTOW, to "forge my own identity," and I never needed MGTOW to chart paths to "self-defined success." I never needed any great revelation on "what a man is."

All I needed, and all men everywhere really need, is to know that you are fine the way you are. MGTOW is the only place today where men are allowed to be men, in all the good and bad of it.

PUA and TRP won't give you that. They will say you aren't a man unless you are constantly lifting, holding frame, and investing yourself in moneymaking.

Feminists won't give you that. They will say you aren't a man unless you acknowledge your male privileges, give your money to women, believe the women, and "be an ally" to women.

Tradcons won't tell you that. They will say you aren't a man unless you man up and marry those sluts, kill yourself trying to pay for her and her kids, and deny your libido.

Incels won't tell you that. They will say you aren't a man because you aren't Chad, and Staceys don't want you.

Only MGTOW has the audacity to say to men, everywhere, "you are men. You are fine the way you are. And if people don't like it, they can fuck off."

And it works.

I think everyone has it's own way of MGTOW (pun intended). I, for one, am happily married and have two kids, but I find this sub quite interesting and useful for couple of reasons. One being learning from other men experience, cause you never know what might hit you and some stories here have really valuable knowledge. Another being that I am 37 and raising my son and we all agree that men/women relationships are quite different now from what it used to be 15 something years ago, so I think I can give my son some advice and warning based on what younger men in this sub have experienced. That does not mean at all that I agree with every single post here, but I guess it is not required, is it?
