I had a bit of a chuckle about a certain part of the conversation so I thought I’d share with you guys, maybe you’ll get a laugh from it too.

So, she calls me from a hidden number, and this is how it starts off:

I open with “hello?” and she says something about me not usually being so quick to answer the phone. Yada yada. “What are you calling me for? Your first choice tonight or what?” I say, to which she responds “haha, you were never my first choice.” “Huh, shot’s fired from the grave” I say. There’s a very brief moment of silent confusion before she asks “from the grave?” Without hesitation I responded with “yeah, well you’re fucking dead to me.”

Here’s to hoping I don’t hear from her again for a while.

Edit: a few folks have rightly mentioned that I shouldn’t answer hidden numbers. I’ve responded to one, but I’m not going to respond to all so I’ll just state here to clarify up-front to save us both the time. My phone is used for both personal calls and business purposes. I get calls from hidden numbers often, and they’re rarely not business calls.
