When I was going through university I worked as a bouncer in a tough but very popular nightclub. If you are attacked by a woman and she is not using a weapon u can use different martial arts technique to defend your self without hitting her and dealing with all the legal bullshit, the simplest one is the fighting stances in boxing and kick boxing where you can protect your neck,rips, liver, nose, diaphragm... it's easy to learn, one lesson would be enough but it takes some practice
