The advantages haven't been eroded - the average guy is still stronger, taller, more capable of learning skills / trades, more capable at spacial / mathematical problems, more independent and more productive than the average woman.

More likely what these men are getting sick of are the restrictions and hurdles placed in front of men and the allowances and freebies given to women and minorities.
