I always put the toilet lid down because I don't like the idea of arisolised particles floating around my bathroom. If there's no lid then I'm not going to put the lid down because I don't want to touch a strangers toilet seat anymore than I have to. If you're going to have a seat then you can pull out your own chair =P

Had a live in girlfriend long ago... at the time, I left the seat up a lot. She never said anything about it. When I asked her about it, she said she'd rather pick her battles, and toilet seat placement just isnt worth fighting over. Seat up or down, it was easy for her to adapt, so she saw not point in arguing about it.

Ever since then... I dont get why anyone gets angry about it.

Toilets are easily adjustable.

Thought about that one awhile back. Since she always wants it down 100% of the time and always leaves it down, and the man would find it convenient for it down just 50% of the time, and leaves it up 50% and down 50%, the toilet seat is already down when she want to use it 75% of the time, while it is only already in the up or down position the man wants it in just 25% of the time.

So the unmanipulated situation is already substantially slanted in the woman's favor - but its never enough, is it? Since she entirely selfishly wants it down all the time, that 25% sliver is just too too much to bear. As usual, she want is all - with no responsibilities, no thought of any reciprocation (on anything), and of course, no consequences for any of her bad decisions. They are children, indeed.

The idea of putting the seat down for women is such a bizarre thing to obsess over. I can't see myself having ever been burdened by having to put it down for myself, no matter how severe the case of the shits I may have had.

They put a rule in at work that you had to lower the seat when done in the washroom. My solution was to lower the lid too.

Generally out of courtesy I would do that.....and then didn’t do it once, just once Gentlemen.....and she bitched and bitched.
