True I'm just responding to a single post. My point was that you essentially advocated romance having worked for you. In the current social environment that is bad advice. This is very true with my experience. I’m not a “gentleman” to my girlfriend I’d say 90% of the time. I’m usually making fun of her, teasing her, I tell her before coming to my house to look nice. I’m not abusive but I’m rarely cuddly and I joke a lot and with her being the butt of a lot of my jokes. She generally laughs and enjoys herself. Anyways, one time she got fed up and said wouldn’t it be nice if you just treated me nicely and weren’t such an asshole... so that’s what I did (I knew she’d hate it) I got her everything she asked, I spoke respectfully, I offered to get her beers, I got her plate served her dinner, gave her kisses before I got up (I wasn’t even being obnoxious with it). She lasted 20 minutes before she started shit testing me as a man. She then started getting angry and begging for me to act “normal”. I kept it up for 3 hours, I ended up stopping because she started to cry. Most girls don’t want to be respected all the time. They want a constant chase and challenge.

Actually this is the most efficient way to test someone. It was taught to me by a classmate 20 years ago. He had learned it from his father who was a very smart and good man. Still works without fail.
2a. If they are grateful and do something for you in return, continue dealing with them.
2b. If they're not grateful, stop making any effort.
Either enjoy interaction with the new friend or enjoy your life without an ungrateful leech.
This algorithm saves a lot of time and thinking when trying to evaluate humans next to you, both men and women. You're testing for multiple things, usually it doesn't require a lot of money or effort, especially in the beginning of a relationship.

No, I disagree with you. I do do things from the goodness of my heart. But doing good things to ungrateful people only traumatizes.
