As a father, this is what nightmares are made of, though it's not a real worry.

For my son, my biggest concern is accidental serious injury or death because he enjoys challenges yet his risk assessment is not completely developed, nor should it be at his age. He and his friends are usually getting hurt. One went flying off a trampoline last year and got knocked out; my son had a bad bicycle wreck with a concussion. Still, I enjoy seeing boys being boys, brings back memories from my childhood and the stupid crap we did lol.

Small life lessons that I constantly reinforce; they're building blocks for character. For example, today we were at the beach and made a sand fortress with a moat and canal to the ocean. He tried to block the path of the water, but it always found a way around. I said, "you see how the water can overcome any barrier?" He said, "Yes sir". I replied, "as a man, you have to be like the water and overcome any and all obstacles you encounter. You have the power and strength within you, learn how to harness it. When you face a challenge, remember this unstoppable water."

I really can't relate to this at all. How does someone look in the mirror and go "I'm supposed to be a girl / boy"? If someone looked in the mirror and thought they were supposed to be a tiger, dragon, Ford Escort, etc, people would tell them to shut up and pull their head out of their arse.

All we have is our perspective on the world around us. I'm a guy, but I don't sit down and relate my world view to being a guy. It's my world view and perspective. I really don't understand how someone can come to the conclusion that what they are is incorrect and needs permanent, corrective surgery to fix it. If your "body" isn't right, then what makes you or anyone else think your thought processes are any better?
