This. Time is more precious than anything. Can't buy back time fellas.

Yep, rule of 72. Actually, more like 69.3, but that's not quite as catchy or easy to use in your head.

makes you question just how SIMP most men are. i mean, i've paid women. first 2 years, she's young and hot, she blows me all the time. sure, you want a nice watch, i'll buy you a nice watch and even take you to a steak dinner.
but even the hottest chicks pussy gets boring over time. and pussy is cheap, whether its a new class of young 18 year old sluts or a well experienced whore, they aren't that much money. and that's about how much i'm willing to spend on a woman. maybe a few hundred dollars here and there.
what blows my mind is men give them money, for YEARS. without blowjobs, with endless nagging. it's really a abuser/abusee psychological weird cycle of ego and shame. i guess I just don't hate myself that much. and then post marriage, no sex, sometimes actual physical abuse and guaranteed verbal abuse, and they still fork over money because....meehhhh, kids...mehhh, mortgage. every man should keep his woman on a leash when it comes to spending and only give when you also receive something of value. but then that doesn't work in modern society because the cunt will jump on tinder and fuck Chad for fun and get a orbiter rich guy to buy her gifts while you sit at home wondering what is the best way to divorce this cheating bitch without losing all your shit.
again, a girl is good to you, ok, she is worth a steak dinner. maybe even a new dress. but $1000 iphone, mortgage, 30k car, 30k wedding. do these men realize how much pussy that money could buy. ?

Engine running on fear.
Fear, fear never changes. Fear everywhere. Fear of everything coming in from everywhere every time by everybody.
Funny how it shrinks with consumption of MasivelyScaryMuhdya.

I hope one day it will be true, but at least for now almost half of my small paycheck goes to saving account as a financial cushion, at least its a small step for financial freedom.
[–]Itisforsexy2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
There's no hope in your situation then, in the context of, you're taking the proper steps to make it happen. It has nothing to do with the chaos and happenstance of the universe. Keep doing what you're doing and true freedom awaits you.

I agree with that :) Sometimes I feel depressed because I have a lack of patience, but I look back at my life and changing job from lorry driver to office worker is quite a huge step (at least for me) also patience and learning new things is a definite way to be more financially independent, money is not the goal itself but peace they can buy.

What makes the end goal I’m saying? Who cares. Money is not the only thing in life. Pardon me btw I’m having serious existentialism today.
[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
i'm in the middle. i think mgtow men that go on about money are dumb. who fucking needs money. life is simple. a house, a car, some food, what the fuck else you need. but I also think you need security. I have just enough so that i know i could lose my job and not need to work a day for 10+ years and still be able to survive. that is a luxury of peace of mind. i still work but 30-40 hours a week MAX. i cherish my time. i always am willing to walk out on any job because I have a safety net and i'm not about giving up my life to chase cash. it's just a worthless game like chasing pussy. enjoy your life but make sure your finances are in order. truth is it doesn't take much. don't be in debt. invest wisely, spend little. but truth is if you work even half assed and don't use social media and don't buy clothes and go on dates and waste money on worthless shit, you'll be better than 90% of men within a few years.
[–]newstart33852 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
I like your way of thinking an I agree. I’ve changed a lot over the past few years. Thing is now I just feel bored. So what do you do with all that being said enjoyment wise?
[–][deleted] 14 points15 points16 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
life is boring.
i've had enough money that i've done almost everything. fucked 2 young 18 year old whores at the same time. gone to exotic countries. bought every video game or "thing" i've wanted from musical instruments to the best computer to the coolest pair of shoes.
life is beyond the physical. it's about finding meaning in the meaningless. most people do that in religion. i'm not religious but i believe in being a good person, in helping others and finding ways to protect yourself while also not shutting yourself off to the entire world.
i find joy in small things. i love working on myself. working out. finding a new type of food i know nothing about and learning it.
you know why most gold digging cunts hate life, because you can't take back time. i know so many wives that are married to amazing guys. they give them good dick and have huge bank accounts. and yet these same women can be seen walking around like zombies with bleached hair and a perma frown. because life isn't about money or status. it's about making your own meaning. life is a mystery and the best way to live is to realize you know nothing. the man who admits he knows nothing...knows everything.
most people chase ego, status and concretizing their believes so they aren't afraid of the inevitable death hurdling towards them.
when you get to a certain age. i'm 36 for example, there isn't much that feels "new". that's ok. you can still find amazing job just in being and being happy, in having freedom, a day without pain or disease or a nagging bitch making you wish you were dead.
think of Tim Robbins character after he slithers out of that shit tunnel in the Shawshank Redemption. he's in some gutter canal river, and yet he feels like a God, freed from bondage.
i'll say it once and i'll say it a million times. the only thing that really matters in life is time. you can never go back to being how young you were yesterday. you might be old now but you'll be older and more senile one day, cherish this day. each moment is full of such joy and amazement but we let others dictate our time.
i still have friends, hell i might even date and pump and dump here and there, but i never let anyone take my life over, never let them baby trap me or get me in a loan or contract i can't escape. if you do that, you will be your own king.

Really appreciate this answer.
[–]crshdurmomlstngt0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I completely align myself with this. All of your points are spot on, but in fairness, we get to this point by making some right decisions and setting ourselves up financially. To have the ability to live life completely on your terms, in this day and age, does (in my opinion) require financial independence. Granted, that number is a lot lower than what a married man with kids needs to have, but that is the beauty of the lifestyle we lead.
I, for one, am actually excited about the prospects of life all the time now. Everything that I do, or do not do, is entirely on me. I like and accept that challenge.

I'm working on saving my personal money to reach FIRE, Financially independent, with the possibility of Retiring Early. /r/financialindependence I'm crossing into my 30's and am looking at having between 1/2 and 1 million in the next couple years. What's it all for? For me, since I maintain low costs(cheap car, cheap and not crazy desirable housing), if I only spend 40k/year, which might be around what I'd expect without a job but with healthcare spending, I'd only need 1 million to -never work again-(4% rule of retirement, read the actual study about assumptions). I don't want to never work again, but I do want freedom to pursue my own interests, a guarantee that I won't be eating catfood when I'm a senior citizen, and personally I have a lot of interest in multi-year employment breaks to pursue things, as well as fucking off from my current job which I don't enjoy. What's it all for? That's the question every person has to answer. For me, I believe in stoicism and suffering, and the protestant work ethic and the satisfaction of achievement. Or I'll just go make beaucoup bucks and pursue hedonism, but hedonism or any pursuit from a platform of financial stability is much better than from paycheck to paycheck.

Then hookers and parties?
[–]McPiggy1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I know this, intellectually, but somehow I’m confident enough in my earning ability that I don’t worry about saving as much as I “should”. I’m always willing to discuss the merits of better financial habits, but for now I enjoy the freedom that I have to do whatever I want with the money I earn. I think this freedom is part of the ethos of MGTOW. More prudent habits are, in my book, lagniappe; the proverbial cherry on top.
Thanks brother.

Can someone give me an idea of the proportion of women who expect lots of gifts, dinners, etc.? I just want to know what it's like for the most part, and how the women justify it except with traditional sexist values that men should be 'providers'.
I've been in a relationship for several years and I don't think I've ever had to buy her anything except a gift for her birthday each year. Maybe this is the dating scene, or maybe it happens more when you have kids? Or maybe when you grow up poor like me, nobody expects you to buy them anything? Any comments appreciated.
honestly it all comes down to this,
"every relationship is a negotiation".
if you're not paying in cash you bring some value. maybe you're handsome or got a big dick or have a strong mentality, and your woman cherishes that.
i've dated girls where i was their "chad". and they would buy me dinner all the time. one of the hottest gils i ever dated used to pay for all my meals. i think all i did was buy her a cell phone for christmas and took her to the spa a few times, but in the overall she spent WAY more on me, and her SMV was probably higher than mine, but i was way older than her and respected myself so she was pretty giving and happy to be with me.
but that ended. it always ends. Chad dick and feelings only lead a girl so far. in my experience A LOT changes once marriage hits. because the woman knows she can divorce rape you. that you have no more power or leverage at all in the relationship. i've never been married myself, but i've seen it so many times.
girl is getting the guy gifts, backrubs, loves cheap dates and just being "together". then once the marriage is official, that same sweetie is all of a sudden a raging hormone demon that is bitching at any purchase the guy makes and constantly questioning why he can't make 6 figures like his best friend or the guy that lives down the street.
most modern women don't follow traditional values. they have a Chad they are fucking and an orbiter or orbiterS that they can get gifts from. they lie to everyone and say they only have one guy but play multiple guys, they never fall under the trap of "sexist traditional values" because they spread it out over so many men that there isn't one man who can say she is playing that role.
and its not even just gifts and dinner. I think many women are not consciously gold diggers. i know many woman that do not expect gifts and dinners and don't talk about receiving resources, but once married, they do, just instead of a fancy dress and a exotic vacation, they want you to pay for the top of the line water heater, washer, dryer, and to redecorate the entire kitchen and tile costing $25k because that's what families and husbands do. it's not always so greedy and materialistic, but its there if you look carefully.
