I'm married, have been for the past four years. I grew up mormon, and that's what Mormons do; get married stupidly young. My in laws are nuts. All about that holistic healing chiropractic bullshit. They're also very naive. They've "invested" tens of thousands of dollars into what is very obviously a scam. A man claiming to be searching for Japanese gold buried in the Philippines back in WW2. The claim is that the return will be 1000 to 1, so on the off chance it isn't complete horse shit, they stand to earn about $60 million.

A few years back they advised my wife to invest. This was when I was still working at Wendy's, we didn't have a lot, but I was about to start my new job in the coming weeks. My wife asked what I thought and I told her I thought it was a terrible idea. She claimed that God was prompting her to invest, so she took that as "now he's okay with it" and took $3,300 (aka. Literally all of our savings) and threw it at this scam.

She flies across the country about 8 times a year to visit family (yes, even back when I worked fast food). She has a degree that she doesn't use at all. She decided on a whim that hypnosis was her lifelong dream this summer so she quit her job, flew to her hometown and spent $2600 on a 9 day hypnosis class. We fought about that decision quite a bit, but the agreement became that she would come back and start an online English teaching job while she tried to become a hypnotist. She had the job lined up and everything, but told me last minute that she needed to just work on her "business" so she wouldn't be taking the job.

She brings no money at all to the table, and somehow claims she doesn't have time to clean the house. She cooks 2 or 3 times a week and complains about it. She's so fucking expensive and really contributes nothing. She's one of those ladies who expects oral in the bedroom but is unwilling to return the favor.

Sorry...that was scatterbrained. I just needed to bitch about a problem that I should be able to fix on my own.
