Was anyone else trained as a kid to always put up the toilet seat when you pee, and put it down after? This never made any sense to me in terms of cleanliness (if you leave the seat up all the time it stays cleaner) or fairness (my house had my dad, me, and two brothers, my mom being the only woman, so this inconveniences 4/5 rather than 1/5). A small tyranny, but a frustrating one nonetheless.

Edit: It sounds like a lot of you pee sitting down because you don't want your huge johnsons flopping around like firehouses--not unreasonable. Also, putting the whole lid down is totally fair. I always took issue with it being a matter of the seat.

Edit 2: and yeah pissing in the sink is great, obviously. It's essentially a no-splash low-flow urinal.
