I never thought about it the way. The way it's written gives the idea that instead of your money and wealth she wants your loyalty and time...but that's not what it says. What it says is " you may be giving her your money and wealth but what about your time and making her a priority" ?

I remember when women used to offer things in a relationship. Marriage wouldn't be a bad deal for men if the woman was faithful, offered sex on demand, cooked, cleaned, and took care of any children while divorce was by default a losing proposition for her. Outside of the easy retort of "And what are you prepared to offer?" to which they'll proclaim "THE SAME THING!", that many of us have never seen reciprocated in the wild.

Let's break it down on what they want.

TIME: the scarcest of all resources. For which we are paid good money for. The old saying of "TIME = MONEY". Gotcha, resource across the board.

EFFORT: Now this can be defined multiple ways. One as WORK which also results in resources or Money, Cars, & Gifts. Also, it could be defined as meaning "Effort towards a goal".

This is the big rats nest of possible issues. Does this mean she wants to be his goal? If so, what then? Most likely she was attracted to him because of his goal or his successes as he pursued his goal, his effort. Now she wants to change that goal to be focused on her (synonymous with PRIORITY). What then when he 'obtains the girl'? If he doesn't resume his previous goal or one that now takes her into consideration, she'll lose attraction for him and some time later dole out the, "You're not the man I fell in love with, you've changed!". However, if he does resume a goal even a considerate one, she now is not his PRIORITY of focus. "He's not giving me enough attention!"

HONESTY & LOYALTY: These two are easily the biggest catch-alls for any behavior that she doesn't like at the time. Granted anyone that's reasonable will make for allowances on simple failures. I'm not talking about infidelity, I'm talking about using these two tags to identify as the victim when you fail to jump through her hoop.

Example: She starts a nasty fight, you catch her in logical fallacy, she begins to cry (or hyperventilate), you've seen this before whenever she gets BTFO and are unmoved, she claims you can't love her because you aren't offering soothing reassurance now that she's in distress. (Not Loyal) It may seem like a stretch, but you can think of a infinite amount examples that will be loosely tied to these two traits.

I do think these two traits are important to any relationship, with caveats of course with respect to reasonableness and the above example was one of unreasonableness that I've experienced.

PRIORITY: Focus. I believe is coupled tightly with EFFORT and a lot of the assertions I've made regarding that apply here as well. Like effort, once you make her your focus, the game is over for her. Boredom sets in, that spark has faded. The other problem that occurs is that once something becomes normalized it stops being special. So as you do more regularly for her consideration, it stops being noticed. When you literally hear the words, "What have you done for me lately?" and it isn't a reference to a Janet Jackson song, your jaw will drop open as you finally comprehend that she does not fathom all that you do for her, where you put her first, or thinks that it is something you just SHOULD do and doesn't require acknowledgement. Or my favorite, "That's not special for me, you'd do that for <insert best friend of 20+ years name>!" (Which always makes us laugh when it gets brought up by our group of friends).

Priority also encompasses TIME. Time for her. Which further pulls you away from any goal you were previously working towards. Further lessening you as the man that she initially was interested in. "You just don't seem to have your own goals anymore!"

I believe this all boils down to two sections (TIME+EFFORT+FOCUS) Resources & (LOYALTY+HONEST) Quality of Character, but the latter grouping is mutable to fit a myriad of definitions and the one whose perception is most affected by mood.

Case 1 assumes she wants your Car, Money, and gifts. Cars can be translated as being able to afford nice things and gifts means being able to spend on her.

Case 2 says she wants Time, effort, honest, loyalty, smile, and being a priority.

So time equals money. Being a priority means spending on her and taking care of her which ties into being able to afford nice things.

So not ONLY does she want your car money and gifts, she is saying that her list is even more than that.
