It's sad to say, but I actually did stop drinking milk, not because of this reason, but because cow milk is basically pus and other bodily fluids which we cannot see. I rarely drink milk anymore, but if I do it's almond milk.

But actually, I did not know that cows had to be pregnant to produce milk. I honestly thought their udders meant you could milk them all year long.

What she says is correct in that cows in the dairy industry are impregnated to produce milk and then the calf is taken from them so that we can consume the milk. Consider that other mammals have the same parental instincts that we do, and think about how you feel about your own parental instincts being denied.

I don't necessarily like the way commercial farming operates, but it has nothing to do with feminism. Animals are treated like machinery. However, a lot of people are fed at reasonable cost and people are more important than animals.
