In this article Beware the best friend (link), one of the commentators, Mark, says:

I have had several girlfriends who had close male (straight) friends, one being an ex boyfriend.
I always thought it was ego and vanity on the same wave length as flirting with a man then rejecting his advance. I told one girlfriend this and she admonished it.
I put it to the test and started catching up with a female friend more often. My girlfriend couldn't handle it and in the end said she would stop spending time with Darren if I would with Melissa. Agreeing that she enjoyed the attention from Darren.

After a little under two months with Darren not seeing my Girlfriend he turned up one day pissed and proceeded to tell me and her that she loved him and had told him so.
My embarrassed girlfriend said yes but as a sister and brother would.
Darren replied, what do you pash your brothers?

My girlfriend soon became my ex and she took a job up in Sydney.

I suggest to anyone busting through the BS barrier and exposing it for what it is, Narcissism.

This is what I hear quite a bit on this sub. Interesting..

(By the way, Pissed is what Australians are when they are drunk, not angry)
