Some things which are possible when traveling without a woman:

Go to out of the way places that won't impress anybody, because you are following interests instead of accumulating bragging rights
Repetitive wearing of the same outfit
Follow your nose instead of a guide book. While not strictly gendered, in my experience strongly correlated.
Staying in hostels or other low-luxury accomodations
Strenuous hikes, climbs, scuba dives and other physical activities.
Spending time to catch workouts without getting flack
Not focusing completely on the food (which becomes more of a thing as people age, by the way. Old women travel to ... eat in new resteraunts)
See shit that interests you. Wanna visit the site of an ancient battle? Want to drop in at Fabrique National D'Herstal or Glock? Feel like catching a footies match? The activities don't even have to be gendered - merely indulging your own interests and not focusing 90% on hers is a relief!

Just got back from traveling alone in Thailand last weekend. Before that it was the Galapagos. Even when my SO could afford to go with on past trips she's a bit of a pain in the ass. Guess who's driving and in charge of directions? Guess who I'm waiting for to apply make up and fix hair? Sure sometimes it's good to have company, but man I do love the freedom of traveling solo.

life ultimately is an alone journey, nothing is better than finding ways to enjoy it alone. i've found traveling is exhausting. even if you're not being physical, just the strange environment, walking and exploring more than usual. i love it though, i'd never complain, i've found women will always complain of the physical. they are such physically weak creatures.

Just went on my first Mexico trip with just a guy friend. Main chick tried to shame me, sister tried to shame me, friend's GFs tried to call me gay, etc. Fuck that...I had a blast. Way better than anytime that I took a GF with me on a travel.
