That was actually the shittest description of the plot.
Maui does a load of good shit but then steals the heart of te-fiti, which causes death and darkness to come into the world. Moana is the chiefs daughter ( and yep, she is entitled and ungrateful because her life of comfort isn't enough and she dreams of fucking off from the island on a boat and ignoring her father's wishes). She didn't go to see Maui to rag on him about not doing anything, she went because a) he fucked up, b) he's a Demi God, c) personal responsibility.

it was more about her safety than anything else. Once you get past the barrier reef the waves get big. Being that she did not know how to sail, her father was right to try to keep her on the island.
She, however was receiving magical messages from the ocean to go get the heart from Maui, so she decided to go anyways.

It was the villagers who didn't know what to do, women and men. They all ask the chief before making a big move. Changing where the food is planted and grown would be a big move, especially on a small island. I feel like you guys are reaching here.

She's 16 at the time and in training to be chief. The perfect soil? She literally just pointed to a spot and made a decision. And who knows how much aggricultural training she had. She probably knows a ton of stuff being trained her entire life to run an entire village and all. But that scene didn't demonstrate any expertise. Just her making a decision, the point of a chief.

Remember her father was right behind her. If she made a bad decision he would have jumped in to stop her and teach her the right way. This most likely wasn't the first time she was practicing.
How would you have liked to see the scene play out? The point of those few scenes was to show that she was getting used to being chief, which a lot of the time simply means taking responsibility for decisions. How would you have created that scene?

It's basic Disney adventure - a woman wants more than sit at home and make babies happen, even though she is treated like princess and probably will never have to lift a finger in her life, she will do something stupid and reckless because yolo, and magical forces will make sure she succeeds at every step because otherwise she would die within the first 5 minutes. The key difference from other Disney movies is that the supporting male character is pretty much Mgtow - he doesn't want to have anything to do with her and just go his own way, he basically sings redpills, and this songe made me want to see it - I fell asleep in the second half, but the first half was ok - it's nicely animated and Maui is a fun character but the rest of the movie is pretty shallow - character are introduced to be forgotten and never seen again withing 5 minutes and the plot is only keeping together because forces beyond the control of characters are forcing them to do stuff... literally forcing them against their will. That was a good song, well sung. But I don't like how they made his character with the tiny eyes that are close together. Look at her eyes, wide and inviting and the proper length apart. It's well known in animation that villains and bad people have small eyes, while heroes and innocents have wide open eyes.

I understand, but I kinda like his design - it's something different that usual Disney Prince character, I think he still has open and inviting eyes, but his face is very round and a bit squashed, making his eyebrows and mouth huge - not counting for proportions, his eyes are pretty much the same size as hers. He is supposed to be a simple character - hence the simple = primitive looks of the character.

Maui (the big guy) was thrown away by his parents, the gods found him, made him a demi god and gave him powers, then he did everything for humans like pulling up islands, making coconuts, etc. He also stole "the heart of te-fiti" to attempt to give humans the power over "life itself". This doesn't work out though and he ends up cursing the whole world and is stuck on a small island.
Moana is going to be the new chief. Her dad is a stuck up cunt that won't let anyone sail (because people kept dying when they went out because of sea monsters) and she just wants to sail. Her dad tries everything to make her the new chief and not get herself killed by sailing. Then grandma dies, gives Moana a rock, and tells her to sail towards a constellation until she finds something. Her mom helps her fuck off and then she leaves in The middle of the night. Almost dies several times but is saved only by the grace of the gods because she's an incompetent fuckwit.
Pretty basic Disney movie where man is evil, mean, and arrogant and the girl is nice and brave.

What man is Evil? Her father is awesome and a concerned and protective parent. Maoi is very likeable. Moana is arrogant and gets punished for it multiple times and grows to be more humble through out her journey. Even her bravery ends up causing Maui's hook to be broken.

Don't come at Moana like that. If you are going to point something out at least have it make sense.
Moana was trying to get Maoi to take responsibility for his mistake of stealing the heart of Tafiti which caused the blight that was consuming her island. She was defiantly a brat about it but fully within her right to try to get the demi-god that essentially ruined the earth to fix his problem.
And then she grew through out the movie.
There are plenty of examples of entitlement and bullshit in Disney movies that MGTOW can point out, but they really don't exist in Moana unless you are taking the movie out of context.
