I'm usually good about being able to understand positions that I don't agree with. I may think you're wrong, but I try and usually succeed in understanding why you might think that way.

When considering conservative dress for women, India is the tip of the iceberg compared to Muslim countries. Any woman visiting Saudi Arabia or Pakistan or Libya needs to wear very specific, full-body clothing, with severe punishments from government officials if she does differently.

Additionally, it will take many decades before the cultural norms of urban centers and more 'civilized' areas bleed through to these small and very inbred communities. I feel like feminists are viewing India through the lens of what it's like in most first world countries, and therefore are being fucking retarded. Some areas are going to be very culturally different, there's nothing you can do in the short term but avoid or cater to the norms there

It reminds me of this one time in class everyone was laughing and joking about this guy who got drunk and ran into the road (dying as a result).

Later in the conversation, our fat retard professor began talking about the latest rape scandal (woman got extremely drunk and slept with some football guys). Everyone was talking about the sexism, victim blaming etc etc, --- 30 minutes ago they were literally laughing about a man who got drunk and died.

Society says a man who got drunk and ran into the road is an idiot who deserves a darwin award, but a woman who gets drunk and has sex is a victim.
