Your happiness instantly goes up 1000% when you realize that you've been pandering to people and things that don't make you happy. Money should work for you, let it do the things for you that you truly value in life. I was like you, having to watch shitty Disney movies, listen to pop garbage from Adele and tight jean boybands, and spending money every weekend on eating out. Now my health is a lot better because I cook my own meals, I spend a lot more time outdoors and am working on reducing my work hours from 20 to 10 when I work from home.

To think of the bullet I dodged when my ex told me she wanted kids and wanted to become a housewife (bitch can't even boil water) makes me smile when reading posts like yours.

Good for you. I know we get a lot of ridicule for obsessing over women here, but there are a lot of valid benefits of going MGTOW. More money, more free time, more control of your own life, more respect, better boundaries, and ironically for a lot of people a more active social life.

It's the right attitude and why I look at the 'norm' as though it is the Twilight Zone.

Your average husband of multiple kids and a full time career has zero time to himself. Literally nothing. Work gets anywhere from 50-60 hours, the wife 5-10 and the kids the rest. There is no way that guy is as happy as I am. He sleeps less than I do. He argues with people more than I do. He gets less exercise than I do. He eats worse than I do due to the restraints on time.

Basically any man in that situation cannot be happy. Even divorced men with kids get far more time for themselves. It means removing the woman from the equation makes the man happy. There are no two ways about it.

I think we're finally getting over our obsession with religion and monogamy. This is a good thing. Our nature doesn't involve marriage. It certainly doesn't involve a nuclear family. It's on display everywhere around the world. The answer has always been tribalism.

I just cut out all the parasites in my life and with in a month my stress was gone and after 2 months my depression.

Its been a year, I have savings again, I've lost 110lbs on Keto without exercising other than work, half ass stretching and cleaning and cooking 100% of my own food. I'm now looking into a hands on hobby because video games are much less interesting to me now.
