I discovered MGTOW in the fall of 2014, after my second wife and I separated. I want to not only begin sharing my story, but attempt to dispell the notion that MGTOW is a refuge for men who are undesirable. I am a successful professional, in good shape, and most women like me to some degree. Some are attracted to me, some aren't. I have simply lost interest in women as sexual beings, and as relationship partners. To be blunt, I'd rather be left alone.

I was married 20 years to the mother of my children, and, you guessed it, she filed for divorce. Was I unsuccessful? No, I'm a physician. Was I fat and bald? No again, great hair and thin. Drugs? No. Alcohol? No. A cheater? No. Verbally abusive? No. Rather quiet actually. So she divorced me why? She was bored and wanted to do stuff without me. Her friends thought she would find someone else. She never did.

Don't get me wrong I was not attracted to her in the least, and she had turned into a hellish shrew. But I figured if I generally kept my mouth shut we could keep our marriage together until the kids finished high school. But she and her girl friends decided otherwise.

She filed for divorce after 20 years of marraige, and no I wasn't "divorce raped." She was a doctor too, and we split everthing 50/50 including custody of the kids. Honestly she had more assets than I had. We agreed on everything. No expensive drawn out divorce. In my mid 40s I was single again for the first time since my mid 20s.

Anyway, long story short, I dated and mated and found wifey number two about 6 months later. Classic mistake, replacing one woman with another much too quickly. She was a beauty, with baggage. Herself a divorced mother of 3 kids. An ex husband still in beta orbit, and for some reason her house was filled with dogs and cats. I fell in love with the hot, crazy cat lady.

The first couple of years with the hot but crazy cat lady and her kids were loving and somewhat passionate. And then, rather precipitously, the sex trickled off, she transformed from affectionate to hateful, and whereas I could do no wrong for a couple of years, the years that followed I could do no right. And foolishly I did not leave. I was "in love" which is to say co-dependent which is to say "addicted."

Fast forward to year 6 of our now cold lifeless relationship and instead of swallowing the red pill and exiting the matrix, I swallowed the blue pill and we got married. She said once we married we would have lots of sex, because we'd be living together. She said she would expect nothing of me, in terms of household chores, because she was used to living alone and could do things for herself.

Sounded good to me at the time. So I marry the hot, crazy cat lady, move into her house (she would not move her kids) and for the next several months make a series of discoveries. She had no interest in sex, at all. She did her best to avoid any situation we could be alone together, hiding behind her kids. If it was inevitable that her kids would be gone, she would pick a fight so I wouldn't ask for sex.

She had no interest in talking with me, doing anything with me, and if she was perturbed she would lash out at me with a cruel tongue. And she did get really pissed off if I didn't do something she thought I should do, even though she didn't say she wanted it done.

It was a traumatic nightmare.

When I re-signed a lease for my old apartment, not intending to leave, or separate, just as a place to go for some peace and quiet, she told me to get out and stay out. For 2 weeks I slept in an empty appartment on an air mattress not knowing what the heck was going on. She did not want me back. Period. And I begged. Many times before and after moving my stuff out. I begged her after the divorce. I begged her a year after the divorce.

Pathetic, I know. Anyway, its been almost 2 years since she kicked me out of her house, and out of a seven year relationship. I miss her no longer. I am glad she kicked me out. I would have been a miserable and sexless eunuch. No life of my own. No opinions of my own. Everything revolved around her, and her kids, and her life.

I am better off now in every way in my life than I was when I was with her. All my money is mine. I make twice as much income now as I did then. I am independent. I've dated since, but find women neither interesting nor entertaining. They bore me. After swallowing the red pill--all women look and sound like used car salesmen trying to sell me a high milage car with a bad engine and a broken transmission. I don't need those kinds of problems.

I exercise. I read. I write. I travel. I am a much better father. And son. And brother. I am, mostly, at peace. I do not spend my time worrying about why she is pissed off, and how do I figure it out why she is pissed off, and how do I fix it? Now, I am just me. Peaceful.

Women of course continue the same age old games. I ignore them with a smile, and am grateful I was liberated from slavery because my slave masters wanted a different slave.

I dated plenty since we divorced, and I have stopped dating. It's "me" time. I am MGTOW.
