My girlfriend and i broke up after living together for almost 15 years (I'm in my end 30s). I moved out to a hotel where I'm writing these lines right now. The break up happened about 4 weeks ago. I lost pretty much everything I valued (including pets, home gym, nice place to live). I moved out because i could not stand the situation anymore (we didn't own the place). She needed massive attention from other men, most of the time even when i was sitting right next to her. Behaved strangely, had her "secrets". I first realized this more than 10 years ago and washed it off. "She will change when she gets older". Boy oh boy. She seems to be relieved I left. Took her only four days to tell me we need to seperate our possesions.

Now I fell into a deep depression as things started to clear. One big ball of sadness. Sometimes i can bareley manage to reach my room before the tears come. Sometimes i dream everything is back to "normal" and i wake up crying. Everything feels like one big personal nightmare. On occasion i see a little light, something that might tell me "you will survive this", after managing to do some push ups or door pull ups. Then the sadness gets back - "you dumb idiot - you fucked this all up". At least we didn't marry and had no kids. But at the moment, this does not brighten up my day.

Searching for how to cope with loneliness i found MGTOW about 2 weeks ago. I lurked around /r/breakup, but most of these post seems to be from 20 somethings i can't relate to anymore. My first breakup at age 21 was way less hurting than this one.

I hoped to find some advice of you guys who went through a similar situation and "made it". I would appreciate recommendations, links, stories, books etc.

Please excuse grammar flaws - not my native language (and drinking german beer).
