Ok, so I go to Church... that is where I met my ex... she ended up banging two non Christian men. That broke me... stupidly thought we could work it out. Tried counseling with our minister (an actual great man who stood by me, shockingly, as a friend and advocate). Didnt work out.
Later he told me I'd be surprised how many within the Church are dealing with infidelity. So I asked who was most likely to cheat/get caught. "Women... almost always the women." That was a huge wakeup for me.

You dodged a bullet. I'm really gullible and tend to want to believe this kind of thing doesn't happen to brothers in the faith, but it does all the time. My mom always brought us to church and then destroyed our family with multiple affairs and divorce rape. I went through life thinking she was an exception. i find it distasteful to have some aged whore tell me how to live my life. I even kinda agree, I think the sequence of marriage and family is immensely important for spiritual growth, but acting like you can find something worth taking the most important life defining risk in this world with a snap of your fingers is dumb. While you're working and keeping the family in line after work she's spending her time in dialogue with her bitter, "happily single" divorced friends and feminist weirdos. She's constantly bombarded by a stream of dudes looking to hook up with her and friends even family telling her to go aheadd with it. They're pack creatures, they mold themselves to fit whatever the social ecosystem they're a part of demands. So no surprise when you're 12 years in and it turns out she was cheating since year two.
