(This an April Fool's post? Because it better be) Idk, you say you know he should make the first move but it seems you're trying to bypass that. The point of "let him make the first move" is that you're not doing all the effort. Tips like 'have lunch where he has lunch' is pickme logic. Trying to make a guy notice you (he has two working eyes, right?) is already too much effort. In 'trying to get him to notice' you'll probably let on that you like him and then you've lost because he learns HE is being pursued.

Anyway, I strongly discourage getting involved with work colleagues. Most of the time these relationships end up being messy. But, since you asked...

Do you know his name? I'd recommend smiling at him and greeting him by name often. Also, try to strike up conversations occasionally about work. Ask him a work question, or for help on something. Every now and then while chatting you can throw in something non work-related "Wow the coffee is pretty good today, have you had any?" or something like that. See if that gets you guys on a little tangent where he can reveal something about himself, or at least just start talking about something other than work. I get the feeling that getting to know him will be like pulling teeth, so start slow.

First of all-- are you sure it's a good idea to get involved with a co-worker? Personally, I think it's risky unless you two don't see each other or interact much during the day.

As for attracting him, all you can really do is put yourself in his "line of sight" and be smiling and extra friendly and approachable. If you have a lunchroom, eat lunch when he does. If he takes the stairs, start taking the stairs. In other words, start increasing the number of places he will see you. (Within reason, don't make it obvious.)

Then when you do see him, you want to smile big and say hello, good morning, TGIF, etc. Don't necessarily start any conversations, just look happy to see him. Men are hugely responsive to smiling, friendly girls who are happy to see them. Keep this up for week or two and if he's interested in you, this should be all the encouragement he needs to strike up a more personal/flirty interaction. Good luck.

Dating a co worker is the worse idea ever. Never shit where you eat. You are still young, focus on yourself and your development (career, education, hobbies). A HVM will come to you, not the other way around. And NEVER in your workplace.
