This has come up on another thread, decided to make a separate post.

I've had a crush on this guy Aaron for like 12 years. We've gone on some dates over the years but nothing serious has ever happened (no sex, no kissing). Part of it was to do with where I was at the time (emotionally, etc). I then kind of forgot about him and didn't see him for about 5 years. In this time I've had 1 relationship with a LVM, and almost got into another one before I found FDS.

As of a couple of months ago, Aaron and I work together. I don't want to have a crush, in that I was completely happy not to see him again, and I didn't think about him in my daily life. But now, when we are at work in the same room, it's like I'm a teenager. My voice and hands are shaking, it's really embarrassing (it's obvious and everyone can tell); and I am not as competent as I would like to be. There is a power imbalance at work so I don't think he will ask me out anymore, or that it'd be wise to accept (before we were peers).

How can I stop this? I don't want it to happen, but I am literally blushing all the time, I struggle breathing when I know I have a meeting with him, etc...
