Only consider it networking if you do go, and make plans for immediately after you get coffee. And plan a date for later that night! Get out there, make yourself busy. If this man wants more than networking he has to actually pursue it.

It is just coffee with a coworker until he officially lets it be known that he wants to date, and actually asks you out on one. No blurred lines.

It is always a risk to date someone you work at the same company with. I do not recommend it - also it does not look good for you as a professional.

I’d say no to spending personal time with him since you know there is chemistry.

If you want to meet him for coffee, think of meeting him only in the morning or early afternoon. Night time is date time / time that you have better things to do ("plans" or "plans with friends"). If he wants to take up a big chunk of your most valuable time of the week (Saturday night), it needs to be for dinner.

I'm guessing its a date because....why can't you meet for coffee (or lunch) in the cafeteria? Or after work? But let him ASK FOR a date and have it be a REAL DATE (not "coffee").

Also, check your corporate guidelines on dating inter company.

I would be less than willing to accept a Saturday meeting (because he is certainly going into it with the intentions of it being a date) unless he made it clear he was interested romantically. I don't like blurred lines.
