“Let’s stay friends” basically means rejection. Don’t ask guys out, that’s their job. Even if he’s the hottest guy, move on.

That's the issue. You don't tell men upfront that you're interested or that you have feelings for them. Let them make all the moves to advance the relationship with you forward. This is how you avoid things like this from happening again and again.

If I'm understanding your post right, you're the one trying to escalate a friendship into something more? That's not FDS. If a guy friend really wanted something more with you he'd ask you for a date. It's as simple as that. Women never escalate or ask men out in FDS.

No, it means they don't want a relationship with you but they want to know that you are there, that they could potentially hook up with you if they felt like it. Also if you are friends it lets the guy dangle the potential of a relationship in front of you so that you will keep giving him sex.

Let's stay friends is a way of gently letting you down.

It's one thing if you speak in abstract terms that you're looking for a serious relationship, then ask him what he's looking for.

But if the guy is saying let's stay friends, sounds like a response to you saying you want a serious relationship with him.

Just put it out there what you want, not directed at him. I've even said to guys, I don't know you to know if it's you, just saying this is what I'm looking for.

And if he says let's stay friends, or he's looking for something casual, or anything not in line with what you want, move on.

Don't listen to some of these wishy washy ladies going 'don't initiate, that's the man's job'. It's hogwash.

You're doing just fine as you are. What you're going through is weeding out the garbage that doesn't want to commit. There is nothing wrong with a woman approaching and being upfront. And I'm speaking from personal experience.

Keep trying and don't let it get you down. If he wimps out, he's a wuss and isn't worth your time, sis.
