"How well can you keep a secret?"

Yes, online dating is horrible, but it can be a side supplement to finding women if used for what it is. Once or twice a month I'll fly through OKCupid canvasing the decent looking women with a couple copy and pasted one liners with results varying from abysmal to almost decent. Each time I try a new simple question or statement like the suggestion from /u/scottishredpill "Can you iron?". Which had produced the best results until yesterday.

My God I've found their crack! I must have messaged 25 - 30 women with well over a 50% response rate. A lot of them went nowhere because I couldn't keep the mystery flowing on so many channels at once, but the opportunity was there.

Every one of them wanted to know the secret and gave varying amounts of effort to pry it out of me. The conversations typically went like this:

  • How well can you keep a secret?

  • Depends on the secret, or I'm pretty fabulous at it actually. Why do you ask?

  • So if I knocked over a liquor store on our date I can trust you to be quiet?

Then I would have the vast expanse of my imagination to play with. The simple potential drama of a complete stranger sharing a completely unverifiable secret put their minds in overdrive.

Give it a try.
