Preface, these are just two steps in a long journey. I'm not trying to say I made it, I just felt like sharing.

Matched with a guy who rather quickly said, let's go for a walk. I immediately declined, saying I don't consider going for a walk to be a date, so it's not worth my time. If you're actually interested in me you would want to do something that shows it.

He responded with, oh, I know what kind of woman you are. And disappeared (good). I think it's nice seeing the handbook work. This is a LVM rushing through the dating process with as many women and as cheaply as possible in hopes of having sex with someone who won't require any effort from him. Bye.

Another man I matched with was from the country I used to live in. I asked if he had ever found this one dish I adored here yet, and he said he's been to so many places, but never had. The rest of the conversation went well. We mostly shared our goals and plans, and he never talked about physical or sexual things (the most common way the trash takes itself out).

I got a text from him later that day saying, look what I found. He sent a pic of a place that had that dish. I had looked all over for it on my own, so I know it took him more than a google search. He said, when it's safe to go out again, I would love to take you here. I want to keep getting to know you better until then, good night.

It's just one green flag. But again, it's a great reminder of what a good prospect is. Bc before FDS, it's the other guy who seems so interested he keeps asking you out. But once you stop wasting time on them, you can see what real respect and thoughtfulness looks like.
