Don't live together.

Don't combine your finances.

Don't promise monogamy.

Do be happy, carry your burdens lightly, make her world light up when she is with you.

Do be playful, tease her, make her feel like the luckiest little girl alive. Always be gaming her.

Do maintain boundaries: rules for yourself, not for her.

Do remain in control of your own time. Make plans with a friend once in a while without checking in on her first. Just don't be a dick about it.

Do prioritise your relationship with your partner over your mutual children.

Do maintain and expand relationships with other men and women throughout your LTR.

Do have not only joint goals, but also individual goals for personal fulfilment.

Do not stop doing exercise.

Do keep mixing things up, be surprising, be fun.

Do be proactive: organise activities, holidays, etc. If she organises a holiday, research options for what you can do together while you are there. You will both be happier.

In public, take her side even when you know she is a bit wrong; gently correct her in private, although she will probably correct herself soon enough. Be a team.

Do monitor her menstrual cycle and treat her differently at different times of the month.

Do learn how to listen actively and connect with her emotions in a masculine way.

Do apologise when you fuck up. Don't apologise when you know you have done the right thing (though you can express sympathy for how she feels).

Do have sex every day or as close to it as you can manage.

Make her feel sexy all day long. Call her at work for phone sex. Make her blush. Encourage her to dress sexily: it will encourage her to keep the weight off.

A successful LTR is one in which you are able to come out the other side unscathed.

For those who are unable to understand what I mean... you are still able to have tons of males friends (you would of throughout the LTR too), still be on and stay on your mission. Still have been in and be able to easily keep in great shape. In other words, everything before the LTR is still intact.

To have a successful LTR you need to care for that person but know that you will be ok without them if something were to happen. My first love/LTR was an amazing girl that to be honest I loved more than the girl I’m with now. However I was way too emotionally dependent on her and thought I could not live without her. I gave her everything and it still ended with her running off with someone else because I was weak. To be honest I don’t even blame her I blame myself and who I was at that time. My LTR that I’m in now is much healthier because I was a strong successful person when she met me and she knows I don’t need her. I love her and what she brings to my life but i am not emotionally dependent on her. If she left I would be upset but I’d be able to move on where as in the first relationship I almost killed myself due to it ending. Hope this helps

Do not need her, and let her know covertly that you do not . (if she thinks you do need her, she will act a bitch and not behave well.)

She can share your Time and Attention as long as she adds value to your life, no exceptions.
