I spend a lot of time thinking about why I don’t attract men (so I can do better and to motivate me to lose weight) so I consequently spend a lot of time thinking about why my friends do attract men. I’ve been trying to emulate their behaviors, diet, etc in order to be more attractive. But in analyzing their behavior, I’ve had a realization.

I couldn’t help but to think about all the times (pre-covid) where I wouldn’t be invited out to mixed sex gatherings that my friends would know about. Presumably this is because I’m overweight/unattractive, and they didn’t want me to bring down the collective attractiveness. Still, if it was just a ladies event I would always get invited. I used to just brush it off and think that it was because I didn’t have a lot of mutual friends in the mixed sex group, but since learning RP ideology I’ve realized the reason is because of my weight.

Is it wrong to be upset about this? Should they have invited me out anyway, or should women always be using strategy? I understand why they did this, but I can’t help feeling hurt about it in retrospect. I couldn’t ever foresee not inviting one of my friends out because they’re unattractive, but I also realize I wouldn’t ever be in their place because most of my friends are thinner than me. Still, how attractive my friends are isn’t even something I think about when I’m getting a group together to go out, so I can’t help but to feel angry that my female friends have excluded me for this reason. Even knowing RP now I don’t think that’s something I could do.
