I don't think this is a good reminder. It's just a girl being handed the task of domestic labour and being taught to not ask people for help when she actually needs it. Not to mention she sounds young. I have this image of a grown man handing a 5-12 year old a plunger and getting her to clean the toilet. I agree we shouldn't rely on men to do it, but it's cleaning a toilet, and this is presumably a young girl. Not to mention the "don't need anybody's help" mentality they're trying to instil in her sounds an awful lot like 'have no expectation of help from the people in your life'.

I agree...its one thing to not rely on a man to do everything for you, but it’s also ok to actually ask for help when necessary.
