I told my best friend that I (M28) would never date her (F28) and she is P I S S E D

I was in a small get-together with a couple of friends to celebrate one of being becoming engaged, and as we were all talking the subject came up of who was going to be getting married next. One of our companions quickly said that it would be me and my friend, referred to here as T. We all laughed and I exaggeratedly swung my hands no and ran my thumb across my neck and we all laughed some more. Some other people agreed and said that we would make a great couple and the conversation moved on. Party ends, I take T and one other friend hom; I leave him home first and T and I are alone in the car.

T says, "you know, we really are great friends, we should do that thing where if neither of us are married by thirty we marry each other." I laugh, but she says she's serious. I tell her thanks, but no thanks, and try to talk about other things, but she begins asking why not, since we're already as close as friends can be. I tell her that that's exactly the problem.

T and I have known one another for about ten years now, and we've been best friends nearly all this time. And it's true, we are really close friends, to the point where one previous girlfriend of mine even broke up with me because she thought I was in love with T. I'm not, and never have been, precisely because I know her so well. I discarded her as a potential life partner years ago when our friendship started becoming a best-friendship, and we started trusting one another with very personal things.

T has cheated on literally every single BF she's had in these ten years. Some of these boyfriends found out, most never did, but she sure as hell told me that she slept with other guys while dating another dude. Some of the BFs were total a-holes, others were really great dudes that I was sad to see being trated that way, but I was T's friend, not theirs. She confided in me and came to me for support when she fucked up, and I tried to help her and sometimes scolded her, but the answer was always the same, she just couldn't control herself, and it would stop when she got older. One previous BF even hit her after finding out (and I went to fight him back, which is why that GF I mentioned above broke up with me) but still she did not stop fucking other dudes behind the backs of other men.

I told her all of this, and I told her that I just don't trust her as a GF. I'm not judging you, T, you do you, and when you fuck up you can always come to me for help. But she proved time and time again that she's a terrible partner. She betrayed a ton of top-notch guys and I'm not going to be another one on the pile. I left her home crying thinking that we'd get back in touch later, as we've had plenty of other heart-to-heart talks where we've said bad things about one another, but our friendship has never felt threatened.

But that was more than two weeks ago and she hasn't called me. She's ignored my calls and texts. Mutual friends have told me that she doesn't want to speak with me. This has never, ever happened before. I think I really fucked up and hit a sore spot that I wasn't aware was there. What the hell do I do to try and correct things? Give her time, I know, but this reaction is extreme (for her) and unprecedented and I'm seriously afraid I lost my best friend. Every other time we've fought we were talking again one or two days later.
