Oh my!
Read the thread. Lots of βmy father is not my fatherβ, βI have brothers/sisters I did not knowβ, βmother/father had an affair with a friend of the familyβ.
This reminds me of a priest saying that everyone should participate in couples discussions to see what marriage is after a few years together. Blaming the other person for something that happened long ago and anger. Made him decide to be a priest and never look back!

I was in a lunchtime discussion about 22andMe with coworkers and then one guy spoke up that he and his two other brothers all got different ratios for the origins and racial makeup, so his conclusion was you can't really trust the tests. The more red pilled of the group stared at each other in silence wondering if anyone would dare say the obvious.

By doing the test, you agree to send your DNA and personal info to the government.
At the moment, you can help cops to get your family to jail:
A father took an at-home DNA test. His son was then falsely accused of murder
Relative's DNA from genealogy websites cracked East Area Rapist case, DA's office says
In the future, who knows what will the government use the data for. Racial profiling of white supremacy terrorists? Oppression points based on race?

This reminds me of some article that related the discovery of the fact that estrogens guaranteed protection against the CCP virus infectionβπ. They already fucked up our waters with their whoring out π and now they want to take the opportunity of injecting us with it directly. βπ€¦ββοΈ

These companies make more money selling your DNA data than they do from the actual ancestry service itself.

I heard about a system, where if one person in your family is a criminal, all the family can be punished, because it is in your blood, i think was something in North Korea.

I was told to take this test because Iβm still trying to find my dad who ran away from me when I was just born, I feel like my mom may not be telling me the exact story though

If she portrays herself as completely innocent when telling you your origin story... she's lying. If her lips are moving...

Protip, 95/100 the mother knows exactly who and where the father is, she just keeps it from the child so that the kid is all hers. I don't just mean during childhood. Even as an adult she will keep it from you so that your resources available caring for "parents" only goes to her not both of you. Or hell, she might be afraid shed lose it all if the dad told you the truth.

when I was younger I know she had the San Diego authorities search for him, in not sure because he owes us a lot of money in child support, so seems correct to me that she dosent know

Similar situation. Dad left when I was 18 months old. Raised by single mom. Was told Dad was the bad guy all the time.
Well, mom is older now and needs help with things. Opening boxes, setting up computers, etc- pretty easy to see documentation that I haven't had access to before.
Long story short, I found my dad. He's something of a tool and has lived a pretty lackluster life. Not sure I missed much tbh.

I found out my biological father is not my biological father. Guess my mom is a whore. Parents were divorced when I was 2 and haven't talked to the man that I thought was my dad in over a decade. Guess that didn't stop my mom from taking all that child support money and never told me. Took a 23 and me about 6 months ago.

My friend did this with her family a couple Christmases ago. Turns out her Aunt was only half related to the family. Grandmother cheated back in the 50s (she's still alive, 85 at the time) and kept that secret from her daughter for SIXTY YEARS. When confronted with the DNA results, she still wouldn't cop to it. Finally she broke with "Well you have all the evidence you need right there."

Women have no integrity. Even upon catching a lie of massive proportions like that, you get attitude back.

I think I saw an article, years back, that almost 20% of the tests showed Dad, wasn't Dad.
[β]CA-GMOW12 points13 points14 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
It's 30%
The study concluded that 30% of the people (who took the test) were raised by someone else, who was not their biological father and no one knew about it.

I think it's worth noting that they ran the numbers again accounting for the selection bias and found that where there was no suspicion, it was more lik 3.7%. Also, please don't use amp links.
[β]GroundbreakingAd75850 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Awesome, thanks. There was another with young people tracking their lineage/ancestry that discovered that same thing... "You aren't my Dad," kind of situations. And it wasn't an anomaly. Tens of thousands of tests are being done. 20%.

Yeah, we had an unknown relative. She and her family were up in arms that her dad wasn't her dad. It was our uncle, who was a well known local lothario before he passed away. So while her family was all going crazy, our side was just 'Yeah, sounds about right.' Then the illegitimate daughter blames our uncle for the situation...
[β]asspop10 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
lmao I had to google lothario. damn.. a seducer of women.
