I would hate to get doxxed, but if all reddit info was hacked, I'd rank in the bottom tier of people to worry about, most of my posts are about lifting. BTW, no, I do not trust reddit. At all. They may as well be the f@ggots at twitter. I know they're a bunch of SJWs who would ruin me if I did something, but, I'm not posting threats of violence, so.....what are they gonna do, post my personal information because I told someone to use dumbbells or initiate sex with their wives?

As far as maintaining opsec, (a) I have settings in my PC browsers set that when I exit, it logs me out automatically. (b) on my phone, I use Antenna, which requires a code each time to open. I generally don't open either unless I'm alone so the only way someone can see my stuff is if I leave it open and walk away, which I don't do. And I don't hate my wife, so if she read everything I typed I'd wager that she'd probably stop after about 10% because I don't demean her & she really doesn't want to know how the sausage is made.

(Edit: I also have a random reddit account of the user name that I use for most other things like netflix & the like, and I keep that one active on main browsers. I have zero posts under that account, but the subscriptions are to things like baseball or fasting or my favorite bands. If someone sits at my desktop & goes to R-dd-t, THAT account would be the one they'd see, if I hadn't logged out. This account is mainly for here. I rarely use R for anything else, but if I browse, say, CBD information, I'll use my 'legit' account, even if I never post. BTW, I have zero posts on twitter and long ago scrubbed my FB feed of anything other than pics. I assume anything under my name or known accounts may be seen by HR of my work, so I keep that bland)

From someone who didn’t use OYS, I’d recommend it. My progress has been ok but could’ve been much faster had I used the group for accountability. Regardless, if you’re serious about improving your situation, do it.

What does this even mean? Are you under the belief that your ISP is directly working with Reddit to link your burner account to your physical home address or something?

If you’re that paranoid, use a VPN. If you’re too paranoid for that, I guess you’re screwed.

But seriously, what exactly are you planning to post that would justify anyone’s investment in linking your account to a “digital fingerprint”?

It's not hard. Use a burner account thats only for RP (you should be doing this anyways) and change some details and names so it's not traceable back to you
no one cares about you, guaranteed.
If you think that because this space is amoral you can put up anything illegal, the mods will show you the door if you don't think it's important.

Beyond that, the only way people would know it's you is if you tell them. DM'ing a girl your real name for cred is how 99% of people get doxxed

Tracking software is used commonly by advertisers to associate different accounts and build profiles of users. These trackers can easily defeat VPN by building a fingerprint from information reported by your browser. This info is available to companies like Facebook, Amazon and Google

If you know so much about security, why don't you just set it up? Why do you need us to validate this decision for you?
