All of my brothers are married. You'd figure between the three of them, my father, and long passed grandfather, one of them would have a good wife. Grandpa, a WW2 vet, got abandoned because of financial squabbles, getting bitched at for his drinking (he drank to deal with arthritis. pretty fucking hard in the 50s and onwards to deal with arthritis without drinking), and the fact grandma wanted to be more of a city girl.

Dad...mom cheated on him with a teenager. Mom's falsified medical records at her last medical job, likely forever fucking herself out of a field she spent most of her life working in. She's stolen food from my brothers and I.

Brother 1: in the Guard, his first ex wife was fat, ugly, arrogant, a control freak, refused to get a job because of her bad neck, cheated on him, and when the divorce happened still got six months of alimony. But strangely when she had to, she magically found a job.

Now, brother 1 was and still is a dumbass in that he hooked up with someone else while he was still married, got her pregnant, and married her after the divorce. God damnit, brother 1, take a few years and get your head and house right.

Brother 2 is a youth pastor who married in his early 20s, only to have her eventually reveal she has crippling migraines. She, too, refuses to work (stay at home mom is a job!) while he's just barely getting by working for a grocery store and as the aforementioned pastor.

Again, he could have done things differently by getting himself set up in life first, but fuck it. I can only try to talk wisdom into someone so many times.

Brother three... this one breaks my heart. We all thought this wife was a good one. About a yearish ago she started manifesting post-partum depression and she too has cheated, came back, accused him of abuse???, her mother is trying to scheme her out of the marriage, Wife of Brother 3 is in and out of the hospital due to mental health issues, and most recently downed pills in an attempt to, um, um, "go on vacation." Jesus fucking christ.

I'm confused as to when my family became an episode of Jerry Springer. And I, the bachelor with severe depression, anxiety and PTSD, am somehow probably the most successful one.

I think at this point I'd rather douse my nether regions in gasoline with a lit match and chant "Hail Satan" than ever date or try to have sex with anyone again.
