Lifting. It only takes 5 or so years to become proficient at a martial discipline. If you however build your daily routine around a habit of lifting; you set your self up for a lifetime of better health outcomes.

You’re way too skinny dude. Start lifting weights for sure. Absolutely NOTHING has increased my attractiveness more than getting jacked. I went from 180 pounds at 6ft. to 250 pounds in the span of about 4 years. It took steroids to get there but I wanted to make that leap after years of researching and coming to the realization I was never going to look like the men I aspired to look like without them.

Putting on enough mass is a deterrent in itself in my opinion. When other men see that you are too big of a threat they instinctually leave you alone.

Do both. I’m studying and doing lifting ppl 6day and boxing 2x week and boxing 3x week. Eat enough and sleep enough and you’re golden. Don’t overthink this

As a long time martial artist (grappling from age 6 and competing in mma from 19), you can pretty much give up on putting on mass while doing it. My 5'11 frame only got to 160 at its biggest with low bodyfat, since the gym suffered with soreness from martial arts and vice versa, and all the cardio didn't help either.

Martial arts helps massively with frame, since you get a different kind of calmness when you know you are safe in case of confrontations. So you have to consider if you value frame or aesthetics more. Gym helps with both, while Muai Thai is mostly mental frame. I put on mass so I now weigh 175 after i stopped competing and only went back to Jiu Jitsu for my black belt, which I wouldnt be able to do while taking the martial arts seriously

I’ve done both, thai is way more fun. But lifting is life changing. Try make 3x times a week gym and 2x thai.

With the gym, my experience is youre more likely to injure yourself. The unnatural lifting strains your body and your transition to muay thai wont be smooth. Id go for muay thai first and if you get bored, you can go gain some mass after losing your fat.

do lifting and boxing at the same time, boxing is the only martial art that can be useful outside the cage, in a street fight, because in a street fight you gotta stay on your feet at all times and be ready to run for your life, if you get on the ground and try to wrestle with the motherfucker you don't know if he'll bite you or stab you or if his friend will come and kick you in the head so you gotta be able to run at all times or you're practically dead
